Since upgrading to Windows Vista, I've been unable to use the PE. After going through a series of security warnings in MS Access, I'm finally presented with an empty DB. My attempts to import the existing platforms into the PE for editing are totally fruitless, and met with the attached error screen, which I can't make heads or tails of. Anyone else having problems like this? If so, does anyone have any suggestions on a fix? Thanx: Buddha

As discussed with Tony via mIRC, there appears to be some problem with Player controlled ships running aground when they are still many miles from the nearest shore. I have (thus far) seen this only in the MEDC battleset. This savegame is from MEDC 2.0 - Breakout, using GE b24. I expect that a savegame is not especially necessary, as it seems to happen instantly on opening the scenario. breakout.zip

This will in all likelyhood be the build that goes out as the public beta for the first patch. It is not a debug build so if you see message log messages that should not be there, report it. Show All, auto play, and iterative saving should still work. We're also looking for difficulties with the install process. NOTE: For those editing databases, please be cautious doing so until you know it is working well with this release, changing the db_utils always brings some risk and I made multiple changes to them for this build. Okay, I did not fix any installer problems, only game functionality and mainly in the form of the BS Builder and database importing/exporting. Playing the drone scenario, when I try to use the AH-64 gun against terrorist groups, the gun is not engaged to ground targets! (I think it should be also the case in the 30mm GAU-8 burst of the A-10 Warthog). I think I remember air-to-ground guns were desactived some time ago, but I'm not sure ... If this is the case, we must replace air-to-ground guns in the DBs with the gun variants as ordnance (as 30mm Mk4 Aden, as instance) ...

Seeing absolute silence since the open beta started isn't my idea of an improvement So I'll help you out a little bit, there is a problem (2009.007) re-assigning aircraft missions (probably any intercept ship/sub/air). Once a plane group is told to intercept a certain group it is very difficult in many cases to assign that plane group to attack different target or otherwise change tasks. What is needed: 1.
