This will in all likelyhood be the build that goes out as the public beta for the first patch. It is not a debug build so if you see message log messages that should not be there, report it. Show All, auto play, and iterative saving should still work. We're also looking for difficulties with the install process.

 

NOTE: For those editing databases, please be cautious doing so until you know it is working well with this release, changing the db_utils always brings some risk and I made multiple changes to them for this build.

Okay, so the BS Builder isn't working right, I think the db_utils are to blame, which suggests that the database import and export may be compromised as well (i.e. a database created in 2008.004 might not work in 2008.003?). Post your findings please.

.003 quits with a memory allcoation error when using a commondb.res file created with .004

Hadn't known this was a problem. "Quickly" would seem to be subjective, so this would be difficult to OK.

EC2000 battlesets added. Great!!! I don't have to convert all those old Harpoon Scenario Warehouse scenarios now!!!

Debug tools warning screen absent; I know Showall still works.

the user BS BAltic Map lacks 1/4 of the Area at the left side

 

 

The File was build with .003 and worked fine the last time...

Haven't had this problem with Vista, which is surprising since Vista has caused me just about every other conceivable problem with every piece of software I own.

Outside of building battlesets and databases, how is 2008.004 working? It is the first non-debug build since the release version which could mean strangeness (not that I saw any once I got EC2003 working :)

I believe the problem mentioned regarding strike A/C finding another target within the group is similar, if not the same, as 0002007 in Mantis reported by me in March of last year. Mantis shows it as assigned, if that's any help.

It seems to be working fine at this point, though I must confess that another project has kept me from doing a lot of game playing.

The new westpac scenarios didn't make it into .004. :o
