Hi, I have been using HUCE ( HC 2015.027 ) and things were working fine. I updated by downloading HC 2017.009 GESEDU. zip and executing the installer I downloaded HC 2016,003GEa. zip and executed the installer. If I use a battleset scenario everything is still fine. However, if I bring a battleset scenario into the editor ( Winscenedt32 ) and then save it ( with no changes ) it will not execute and I get the following message: " The requested scenario file requires a newer version of the game. This scenario is version 4 . This game supports through version 3. Exiting..." I am wondering if someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks, Smit…

I did see from years (think ever, from the Computer Harpoon start) when an ASW aircraft has two or more types of sonobuoys, in each flight stop it drops one sonobuoy of each type, depleting its magazines faster than in I think more realistic drop of only one sonobuoy in each stop (To avoid this behaviour, in my personal DBs I change the loadouts to have only a single type of sonobuoy). Just observed again in a new little scenario in preparation. Toughts?

Hello guys, I'm new here I had to register here for future conversations and the following question: My eyes are not liking the strong map Colors or circles which are getting almost invisible... Is there some way to the colors of the water? The most important thing: The UI Scaling. Is there such function or a Workaround to have a bigger text and bigger symbols? Since the beta version expiration date for HCE has come does it mean HCE latest version update is 2009.50. I was using the latest version (2016) but now when starting up HCE I receive go to AGSI get latest upgrade. The newer scenarios all use the latest version only.

Hello, I am new back at Harpoon with Ultimate Edition v.2009.0.5.0 Previously I had enjoyed the sim from DOS all the way up through Harpoon 97. I have enjoyed replaying many of the scenarios. I am looking for some help using the scenario editor. I tried to edit one of the battleset scenarios to add more time to the scenario. But when I try to launch the saved scenario, either I can't locate it, or I get a message that some component is missing. It looks like there are multiple directories for the different build versions of the sim, but it looks like there is only one scenario editor launched from the initial Matrix HUCE menu. 1.Was looking around and saw this at http://harpoon-ultimate-commanders-edition.software.informer.com/3.0/. Anybody know anything about it? 2. I can't find the custom database I was using when my system crashed. The D drive where I keep the files is ok, but I had to reload HUCE. I made sure I moved the entire game over to a new folder with a new name. While the scenario editor's platform display still shows the database. Okay, I admit it. I was born before the Korean War started but I still enjoy these games...when I can get them to work. I am playing HCE for a change and am patched to 2009.050 on a Windows 10 system. Everything works but the scenario editor. I have read everything on this site I think but I cant figure out how to 1] Get the SE to function and 2] Patch the game to its most current version. Any help would be appreciated. After a number of years away, I purchased the HUCE version and noted the WestPac scenarios are missing. I think I have to download another database and (maybe) the battleset? Confused as to how and where to install DB and potential battlesets, and if the install will allow just WestPac and no other of the newer HUCE included scenarios. Is it an all or nothing or when done w WestPac can I back off to the HUCE as downloaded list of battlesets? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Dukera

Hi, I just upgraded from HCCE (2009.50) to HUCE ( 2015.27 ) and had a few questions: 1. Is there any way to invoke the GE directly using a desktop icon rather than going through the feature selection box ? Attaching a shortcut directly to the game executable doesn't seem to work. 2. There is some sort of window at the bottom of the screen in HUCE, that gives credits for harpoon and where to get digital art. It is no biggie, but is there some way to delete that window? 3. I now have both HCCE and HUCE on my machine. They seem to co-exist with no problem. I was wondering if there was something in this regard that I am unaware of ? Is it possible to use saved…

Was a devoted player back 20 years ago, have recently purchased the program from Matrix, and starting out with questions. First, I can't seem to get all the windows (formation editor, change speed, etc) to be readable. I get half of the detail and can't slide or expand. Ideas? ( I will accept my own stupidity as a plausible reason.). Second, I am running win 7 64-bit, and have attempted to do the "help file" upgrade with limited success. Would appreciate ideas, or suggestions. Thanks.

I don;t know if this is new, or I just never came across it before. When I attempt to launch an aircraft from a base to attack a sub target, I get a message saying "Sir, we currently have no released weapons to conduct an ASW attack". If I launch the aircraft to patrol and then order it to attack the target as soon as it launches, the attack proceeds as usual. I have a screenshot, but I can't figure out how to attach it. New member, long time Harpooner- when I saw there is now a 32bit scenedit, I was ecstatic. Alas, I cant get it to work! Here's what I did: 1. from autorun, hit 'UPDATE' - no (apparent) issues 2. now have HC build 2015.027, HCDB - 150928 and Wscenedt32.exe 3. played game, no issues (EC2003 Battle for the Atlantic Ocean / Scenario 6.0 Lead Off) 4. closed game - opened scen editor - edited same scenario above. 5. opened HC - opened my (user) scenario 6. orders I had created showed up, when I closed that window the game thought for about 5 sec 7. received error window stating 'Game Engine stopped Working' 8. user cried Any help?!
