Patching HCE to use the 32 bit SE
Okay...thanks for the reply but I still have questions. First, that filename ie HUC Wscenedit is not in my HCE setup now so I assume I will find it in HC 2016.003? Where do I download HC 2016.003? Are there other updates that need to be installed between 2009.050 and 2016.003? I said up front I read most of the relevant items on the site but I sure didn't understand them... Thanks for the help

Patching HCE to use the 32 bit SE
Okay, I admit it. I was born before the Korean War started but I still enjoy these games...when I can get them to work. I am playing HCE for a change and am patched to 2009.050 on a Windows 10 system. Everything works but the scenario editor. I have read everything on this site I think but I cant figure out how to 1] Get the SE to function and 2] Patch the game to its most current version. Any help would be appreciated. I have gotten great assistance here in the past. Thank You

The truth about assault weapons
You can certainly argue that owning a lethal weapon may not be a fundamental human right, whatever those are. But it is currently a right enumerated in the U.S. Constitution. Diane Feinstein, an indirect victim of gun violence? That might be stretching logic to its extreme. But its certainly part of life in the US today. Everybody is a victim including the actor and no one is responsible...

The truth about assault weapons
With all due respect, statistics can be presented to justify most any position. My position is that I have never committed a crime with any of my guns and never will. I dont know anybody who has. Having said that I do not intend to be punished or my rights infringed upon because of the actions of someone I have no control over or responsiblity for. Getting back to your statistics, you are hundreds of times more likely to be killed or injured by a drunk driver than you are killed by a bullet and yet alcohol and automobiles continue to be widely available...

The truth about assault weapons
I should not in a "free" society have to justify my lawful use and possession of any firearms. Because I have a gun collection I should not be labeled as the root cause of mass shootings by the popular media or anti-gun crackpots. It looks to me as a not so casual observer that these mass shootings are for the most part committed by caucasian males between 15 and 35 with a history of some level of mental health issues. The problem will NOT be solved until that we focus on that. Limiting magazine capacity or even banning possession of the the guns that shoot them may be politically correct but totally ineffective. If I go to the doctor to seek a remedy for the flu I would be very suspicious if he prescribed a bandaid on my big toe. Thats my take...

FNG with a problem
Okay: I tried renaming the .ini file with no results so it on to the next thing but first a short story. Started out playing Harpoon back in about 1989-90. Had a souped up IBM PC and had to load a series of 5" floppys in and then type in the DOS entries. As you know all programs were like that back then and I accumulated a few books on using DOS and the arcane and intricate [but very logical] command strings. Time passed and programs matured. I had hung on to all of my books but I very rarely ever needed them. Then late last year my youngest son who is going to college part time and working up the road in Tampa asked if he could borrow the books for some class he was taking. I was just up to see him last week and he asked if he could hang on to them until the end of the spring semester. "no problem" I said, "will probably never need them again" Turns out I was wrong. I knew there was a way to list/print files but couldnt get it to go. Long story short, here is the list, by hand, save a couple of text and PDFs. Folder: AT Out Folder Uninstall alleg42.dll alut.dll autorun.Exe Database.dll H3Launcher.exe h3launcher.ini H3RE_3_10.mdb Harpoon3.exe Harpoon3.ini Harpoon3.ini.bak (I created this) Harpoon3Client.exe Harpoon3ScenarioEditor.exe Harpoon3Server.exe harprez.exe TADILJLib.dll TimLib.dll VCREdist This can't be all the files Thanks again.
