I'm producing about 80 Kates a month right now, but most are heading into the pool for a later date (I'll have to restock my CVs with em after this last battle). Building aircraft is easy, the pilots on the otherhand... If I had been smart I'd try to interrupt more convoys flowing around both the IO and Coral Sea area, which would have further increased the loss of enemy shipping due to aerial torpedoes. It is the mainstay of the Japanese power projection.

In other news it appears Dewayne's invasion force landed at Toyohara in the middle of major storms preventing my air force from extracting a large penalty for being this close to the Home Islands, once again he sent along no escorts so his invasion force will die right offshore. Suppling this base should prove to be impossible.

I don't think my land forces will hold him off for very long, he has 8 units landing so that's just too many men. He won't be able to go anywhere because I do have enough forces to hold him at the next base further north and I plan on nailing Toyohara airfield into the ground once it falls.

Have a good one,

Toyohara fell under the weight of quite afew Regmential Combat Teams, though one got the chance to go swimming when their transport got sunk underneath them. Afew more transports also went down and I expect the rest to sucumb in the next day or two (weather is hampering my flights). I hit them with both Betties and Kates plus a afew Vals here and there so most of the damage done was by torpedo.

I have afew more surprises in store for Dewayne so things aren't completely grim yet. Though if he can reinforce and resupply Toyohara then I'm in big trouble because he'll be able to pound the Home Islands into dust (the best Allied fighter he has is his heavy bombers).

Elsewhere things are doing just fine, Dewayne keeps burning supplies in both Burma (where he's bombing my ground forces and their assault value is RISING :P ) and in Java where I've got a good net around it so he'll no longer be able to run in supplies. Same at Rabaul. The continued pounding of Pagan and Ent. Island is just that, continued. Sooner or later Dewayne is going to have to bring in supplies or risk running out and then having his forces be subjected to Japanese railroad bridge building campaigns  .

Enough for now.

The war continues at a much reduced pace from early on as it seems we are both regrouping for further operations. As much as my esteemed opponent likes to believe he is pounding some of my island defenses into dust he is much mistaken as he will find when he comes to try and collect his railroad engineers. Soon the bombing campaign against the northern territories of the home island will begin. Replacement squadrons and aircraft are being produced at ever increasing rates and the mighty Japanese Empire will be ground into dust for ever dreaming they could challenge the mighty Eagle for World dominance. :)

Dewayne is delusional but it's understandable. Run across one too many beaches will do that too you. He is however, correct about us both regrouping though my operations in China seem to be gaining some headway finally.

Not alot to report other then Dewayne's last operational carrier turned up in the Coral Sea and slaughtered some of my transports on their way home from Port Moresby. This move cost me quite afew aircraft since they decided to attack his CVBG in or near Rabaul and flew into the cloud of Cap Dewayne has over that vicinity.

It's not a mistake I will allow to happen again.

It must come as quite a suprise to know my last operational carrier is in the Coral Sea one day and then have airstrikes launched from carriers hit in the Kuril Island chain the next. That must be one fast carrier. :) Operations continue. Toyohara airfield has expanded to make it useful to launch airstrikes against mainland Japan and resupply ships are now resupplying Eniwetok under cover of friendly fighters. So delusional I may be but the facts are speaking for themselves. :)

Okay I did forget about the USS Wasp, but apparently my airborne warriors didn't.

Today they managed to hole her flight deck and leave her on fire but I lost quite afew planes throughout the day in the war against the Allied aggression. So maybe not delusional as I thought, but not too far off the mark. He's fielding one lousy CV against the Home Islands, brave and yet futile. I managed to sneak in a BB bombardment of Toyohara smashing up quite afew of his heavy bombers there (he moved them in real fast). He's got tons of supplies because the damage is already repaired and my forces haven't even reached home base to resupply and hit them again. It's a race to see who can wear down the other and I have a feeling he's going to win (go figure given his resources).

I'm being stripped of the inititive one invasion at a time and I didn't really plan on going on the defense so early. Dewayne's strategy seems to be working well though the losses on his forces is massive considering the number of CVs and BBs I managed to send to the bottom.

Also I'm not so sure he's finding many volunteers for his merchant marine with his no need to bother with escorts tactic. Many invasion fleets failed to return home or did limp away all tore up.

An interesting war to say the least.

Yea killing aircraft is my top priority at the moment so I am pretty happy with todays results. The Wasp sustained minor damage but took out guite a few aircraft in the process. Carrier operations in the Coral Sea continue unabated much to my opponents dismay. Resupply operations are going according to plan. So things are looking pretty good in Alliedville.

Well Dewayne isn't killing as many aircraft as he'd like I'm sure. He's now bombing the Home Islands though from both the Kurile Islands and Toyohara airfields.

I've been pretty much stalled out in my offenses so far so I gotta go back to the drawing board and figure out a way to make him pay for his early offensives.

Kelly

Dang got him so scared he dropped the san from his name in an effort to fit in with the Mericans :)

Dewayne's air offensive has netted him well over 100 destroyed aircraft, pity that their his own and not mine. Today I lost zero to his like 38. Muhahahahahaha. To be charitable I did destroy the aircraft on the ground and not risk my own pilots. He continues his air raids on the Home Islands but really isn't doing as much damage as he'd want too I'm sure.

Sounds like your typical military operation then....no plan survives contact with the enemy.

I'll be doing an update here in the next day or two, sorry about the stagnet thread. I just got back into the work groove coming off of vacation (I think I need another one).

Okay well we can't be having people suffering unless it's good for the Empire so....here's the update such as it is.

We're up to september 14th or 15th now.

Dewayne has moved his few remaining CVs into Toyohara area heavily supported by Land Based Air (LBA) and is running bombing missions against the mainland from there. He's mainly targeting the northern Island areas so far but I'm sure he'll be expanding further south as he goes.

Not a whole lot going on in the Bay of Bengal and Burma area, mainly Dewayne is doing his usual bombing missions against my ground forces sitting at the river juncture.

With a noteable exception to the above.

EnemybaseatKuala.jpg

Dewayne went and drove in some ground units at Kuala, it did cost him some ships and quite afew aircraft but he pulled it off. Reinforcing this area though, is alot harder, I know I'm doing my part to make sure it is :)

Now on to Eniwetok Island atoll and the battles there. Dewayne decided to reinforce the place and brought in some heavy hitters to make sure it worked. Well I got a surprise when my bombers flew into a wall of fighters (only CAP is allowed at a level one airfield). My continuious bombing raids came to a halt but only after slipping no less then 5 torpedoes into the USS Tennessee. Somehow she managed to stay afloat and he has her docked at the port. Next up he brought in a lot of DDs to stop my bombardment missions from sailing in and smashing the base. One of my CAs took a torpedo but I think I came out ahead on the surface battle. As for his airfield, look at the map and number of fighters he's got here, knocking this thing back down is going to be hard but I've done it before (costing Dewayne over 100 aircraft not so long ago).

In the DEI we both pretty much have settled down to solid lines, he still holds the main city on Java with me on the outskirts. We're both moving forces around so there hasn't been much change, though I do NEED it to change soon otherwise I have alot of my ground forces stuck in Java instead of slapping Dewayne around somewhere else.

LowerDEIarea.jpg

In northern China I am making progress, working at cutting his main force off from supplies and then hammering his other airfields in the area with bombing raids to eat up the last of his supplies. I think it's working because he's moving his units around to block me but that's about to change when my units finish their movement orders.

NorthernChina.jpg

Pagan Island area is well under my control. Damage is up very nicely on the island here and Dewayne has made no move to try to reinforce the Island by sea, mainly relying on PBYs to fly in supply (that's not going to be enough here).

And finally the scoreboard for the game up to date. Check out the number of Allied ships sunk :)
