War in the Pacific 1941-1945
Japanese offensive operations on all fronts have been stopped cold. Allied forces now outnumber Axis forces on Pagan Island and soon Japanese POWs will be helping to repair damage to the airfield. Fighter flights are already flying CAP with only a few nuisance flights of Japanese aircraft making it through. My troops are slowly battering through Rahaengs defenses and it is only a matter of time until it falls. I was finally able to gather enough fighters at Soerabaja to blast through Kellys large fighter CAP over Batavia bombing his runways and hangers into rubble while destroying over 90 enemy aircraft in the process. In China my forces are now holding strong his last attack costing him over 7000 troops at the cost of only 800 Chinese casualties. The enemy has been demoralized and is feeling the pressure of constant air attacks over the Japanese mainland. The bad part for him is that its only January 1943 and there is a whole lot of war left.

I cant say what this video did for to me as its a PG forum, suffice it to say I liked it a lot.

F-14 vs F/A-18 ... a hypothetical
I think the assumptions are off in your analysis. Why would the current pilots handicap themselves by only using older AMRAAMs? The newer airgroup has a wider variety of options available to them. They can load everything up for fighter work and even if it was an even exchange between the fighters (unlikely) and the Tomcats and Super Hornets killed each other then you still have to run the gauntlet of normal Hornets to get to the carrier. I understand the benefits of specialization but think that flexibility outweighs that. And for those that say the Tomcat is a better fighter let me remind you that Mig-28s shot down a Tomcat and would have launched on the carrier if one extraordinary pilot hadnt been available. Never saw them do that to a Super Hornet.

War in the Pacific 1941-1945
Despite stated enemy aircover my C-47s are landing troops and supplies on Pagan Island and I believe they can hold. Submarines and long range bombers are slowing down Kellys invasions forces at Pagan and while that is happening my troops are repairing airfield damage so shortly there will be organic aircover over the island. After that happens Saipan will be slowly starved to death. My troops have forced themselves into siege positions around Rahaeng and are resting after digging in to make the final assault to push the Japanese Army from there. New aircraft are coming off the assembly lines by the score. Next month Corsairs will start gracing the skies and the poor Zero menace will be no more.

If you can do something about Bonin I will proclaim you victor. There is no way in heck you can beat Bonin down. As far as Pagan goes you could probably take it if you could get some more help down there but thats not gonna happen either. I rule almost all of the pacific and you cant take it back. Sure you still have a few islands in the pacific, but they are all cut off from the homelands and have trouble getting supplies. Victory is mine.

Enemy propaganda is running rampant. The Washington is banged up a little but is in no danger of sinking. It is currently in port repairing some damage before heading to a main base to fully rest and refit. I have plenty of BBs left to support my troops so you dont have to worry about that. The Maryland was lost but gave her life defending troops on the island of Pagan which has not suffered a bombardment attack since that exchange of fire. Air attacks against Pagan have decreased dramatically also. The base and troops are recovering nicely and will be shortly available for future operations against the evil empire.

War in the Pacific 1941-1945
Well the game has been going for a year now as it is now Dec 7, 1942. Rain has been falling on the Japanese home island for a few month. Metal rain that is, just a sprinkle as of now but there are large storm clouds moving in. The same rain has fallen on 6-8 Jap battleships in recent days. They managed some minor damage with some bombardments bufore running away to lick their wounds. Kellys carriers have been relegated to trying to hunt transports and hiding. My own carrier battlegroups are sitting back taking a breather waiting for an opportune time to strike. I have been striking Kellys supply ships and slowly working on tightening my grip on the Pacific. My Air Forces are up to full strength now and are just a couple of months away from receiving more advanced aircraft to finish claiming total control of the skies. There was a minor setback in China but my second line of defense is prepared and will hold against further incursions in this area. In Soerbaja the pile of Japanese bodies grow with every failed attack they make. the last attack netted me a 10-1 kill ratio. Thats correct 10,000 dead Japanese for no gain. The bells of freedom are wringing loud and clear. Of course to the enemy they are now the bells of freedom but the ringing of a terrible defeat.

No CV battles, is that because they have met each other or because we sunk them all? It has been pretty quite lately, rebuilding strength and strategic positioning taking place. The only real movement has been in China and it will turn out to be a stalemate also as neither of us has the strength to win there at the moment.

First LCS mission package ready
The Navy does have a bunch of old amphibious ships in mothballs they could load em up on.

I think the proper phrase would be "the bombs are gonna fall out of my B-29" not the wheels from my wagon.

Barksdale expands B-52 capabilities
Of that I have no doubt because he is a Marine. On a side note it got the other Marines I work with all excited as well there were several boot brushes brought out to get that extra little bit of shine because of it

Interesting DD-1000 report
I wonder where I can buy a model ship like that one.

War in the Pacific 1941-1945
The war moves slowly now as Kelly vainly looks for a way to pull victory from the jaws of CERTAIN defeat. Iwo Jima is being pounded daily and will fall as soon as I decide to land troops there. Port Moresby is another untenable position for my Japanese friends. As evidenced by my recent naval bombardment. So his goal of isolating Rabaul has failed. The supply ships I just landed there had no problems at all with the trip there. His vaunted offensive to secure China has ran afoul of several Chinese divisions that like nothing better but to shoot up some Japs. Eniwetoks airfield has been expanded so my medium bombers I am rebasing there should help put a damper on any operations in the south pacific. As for Hawaii the only way any Jap army regulars will see it will be from the portholes of my prison ships as they stop in to refuel. Your friendly Allied General, Dewayne
