June 12, 200718 yr Author I'm not overly worried about over expansion at this point. I do have a plan and I'm sticking too it, even if it means I die an early death. Besides, I can say the same about Dewayne's expansion too, nothing like full divisions plus attachments sitting around on an island or two waiting for the Japanese to come by and pick them up so they can go build bridges in southeast Asia The battle of Java is reaching it's finale as I lay seige to Soerabaja and begin my offensive in Burma .
June 15, 200718 yr Author Quick update, it's now the 15th of June and so far it looks like Dewayne intends to fight to the last in Java. He's reinforced with both troops and airpower but that won't change what's going to happen there, perhaps just draw out the battle and drive up his losses Elsewhere we're both moving equipment around and eyeballing each other, waiting for the next big battle. Sincerely Kelly-san
June 16, 200718 yr Don't count your Javas before they hatch there Jap-boy. Looks like your ships high-tailed it from around Eniwetok also, whats up with that? Your Friendly American General, Dewayne
June 17, 200718 yr Author I fled Ent. because I already know what happens when you pit surface forces against carriers. Remember the last time you drove carriers that direction they never came back Anyway, Dewayne sent a CVBG past Wake Island in an attempt to ambush some of my surface ships who were pasting Ent. with bombardments. He did manage to shoot up some transports but I got plenty of those so no worries. The Java battle continues with lots of air activity, today I lost like 34 aircraft to Dewaynes 74 or so. Not bad, not good. I continue to pound on the defenders there. It seems Dewayne has strip-mined India and relocated those forces in Burma. Meaning India is ripe for invasion and there's lots of victory points to go around there. He also sent in some merchant shipping into the Malacca straights but that only got my gunnery crews some much needed experience when they pounded down 3 of the merchies and shotup afew more. Java will eventually fall, by taking my time I drive up his losses and lessen my own. Sincerely Kelly-san
June 19, 200718 yr Dont you just hate it when the pesky American general closes the back door on you and starts to cut off your line of supplies? Man I would hate to tell the emperor I let that happen to me. Your not so friendly American General, Dewayne
June 25, 200718 yr Since Kelly advances have started to dry up while the powerhouse that is the Allies grows, I thought I would keep you all up to date on the war. Pagan fell to the Allied juggernaut today opening up clear lines of supply to the Philippines and also threatening Japanese bases at Guam, Tainan, and Saipan. I have increased the size of my airfield in the Kurils and will soon start the bombing campaign against northern Japan itself. Spitfires have started entering service in India although Kelly has went in to full retreat with his aircraft from that theatre and they have had little effect as of yet. All in all while still pretty balanced the Allies are starting to pick up a little momentum. More updates to come. Dewayne
June 27, 200718 yr Author Don't believe a word of what the former Marine tells you. The Empire is strong and as Dewayne just found out, carrying a big stick. Dewayne did attack and secure Pagan but it cost him the entire invasion fleet. (Dewayne doesn't believe in covering his amphibious shipping with proper escorts.) He also invaded the Bonin Island due north of Pagan (next to Iwo Jima) but hasn't been able to secure it yet. His amphibious shipping and troops ran into alot of firepower on the beaches. It looks like he didn't cover this invasion fleet as well and will shortly watch it slip beneath the waters. In Burma I drove off his counter-counter offense and now I think we're both stalled for the moment. In the pic for this region the squared area out to sea (Allied TF is the Hornet along with some British CVs). The seige of Java is ongoing as well...nothing to update at the moment. Sorry about the delays in updates but work has increased massively and I'm working 6 day weeks right now. I'll keep trying to update every few days errr mornings (it's after 3am now). Long live the Empire! Kelly-san
June 27, 200718 yr Author Okay a few hours later now.... Here's a pic of the Central Pacific, notice the shipping around the Bonin Islands... And then here's the results from the big stick's visit to the area.... Muhahahahahahaha Any questions on Marines and their effectiveness can be found at the following link.. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e2d_1182766592 Have a nice day... Sincerely Kelly-san PS-- I know I know. I'm going to hell for that one.
June 28, 200718 yr There is a saying we have around here. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. The war is far from over but its getting closer for you.
July 1, 200718 yr Author Quick update. Dewayne staged quite afew fighters into Pagan Ils (over 100) and then I drove the BB Yamato and several others for a little party. The bombardment smashed up his air units and he withdrew them the next day. Yamato and company has paid a second visit driving up the damage on the airfield to 70%. Ent. Island continues to get hammered though the damage % is almost gone. I've had to rest my bomber crews so I'm not hitting it as often as I need too. No worries, it's a level 1 af so all it can do is fly CAP though he has no aircraft there whatsoever. Moving stuff around here and there, nothing major to report from other areas at the moment. Sincerely Kelly-san
July 1, 200718 yr Well my aircrews finally came through for me over Rabaul. There are many Japanese aircraft burning that tried to make that airstrike. In addition there are many new American Aces celebrating their astounding victories, and quite a few Australian Aces celebrating with them Dewayne
July 2, 200718 yr Author Worse still is I forgot to stand down those fighters and bombers so they tried another run at Rabaul though this time it wasn't as bad as the first trip. Live and learn. There seems to been a CV battle but it's too early to tell what the extent of the damage other then Dewayne's SBDs flew into a wall of Zeros (afew new aces for me as well). As far as ships sunk and the end result I don't want to say yet because this battle just may be getting under way instead of being over. Hopefully I can post up the results in the next day or two and you can witness the true power of the dark side....or not. Sincerely Kelly-san Ruler of the virtural Japanese Empire...
July 3, 200718 yr HNN - Breaking News In todays news, Japanese carriers run afoul of land based bombers operating out of Soerabaja. American High Command is tight lipped but we have reports of two carriers damaged one of them heavily. The Japanese battlefleet was last seen running at best speed away from the area. More news to come as we get it. This is Dewayne Harris with Harpgamer Network News
July 4, 200718 yr Author Like Fox news my opponent is ignoring a rather important news segment here. While yes in fact I did suffer at the hands of his LBA (Land Based Air) I didn't lose any flight decks. Dewayne on the other hand, managed to once again drive a CV 'up the middle' in the Pagan Island area and into my Mobile Strike Force. Like the last time he suffered for his intrusion upon sacred waters. The Carrier battle I told you about follows: CVE Long Island is now resting comfortably upon the ocean floor along with most of her escorts including the following ships: BB Idaho, CA Northampton, CA Portland, CA Vincennes, CLAA Atlanta, CL Phoenix, CL Honolulu, , CL St. Louis, DD Mugford and probably afew more DDs. In return I lost....uhmm JACK! So far in this war Dewayne has lost 305 ships to my 107 ships. Not a bad trade off at all
