File - HCCW-140314 (1950-75 era)

Entry 6414 Swedish Neptun-class submarine has not any sensor. No references in Jane's 1953 or Conway's 1923-1946 about her sonar. Perhaps we should use active and passive generic sonars.

  • Because I know you will write scenarios with these (and that is the single-most important factor at play here), I will make an exception and include these post 1975, (in)famous platforms.

  • All this work on the HCCW database makes a guy want to watch The Bridges at Toko-Ri.

  • Heh, yes, definitely an error there. I will look at it and you can expect a fix in the next version.

Loadout entry #55364 (ASW entry employed by French and Japanese P2V-7 Neptune) has not sonobuoys. Is depicted as an advanced P-2H/P2V-7 (last batches of the French ones, and probably all the Japanese), at SP-2H/P2V-7S level ("S" suffixe probably stands for "Sonobouy Processor"), with Julie/Jezebel sound processor capability, it should be probably have the same sonobuoys as #55363, 22xSSQ-14A Jezebel+44xSSQ-31 Julie.

In the French P2H/SP-2H (1958-1984) torpedo Mk44 was introduced in 1960?, torpedo L4 was introduced in 1964, SSQ-23 Julie active/pasive sonobuoy introduced in 1962 (in US service was in 1957). Dorsal turret 12,7mm machine guns (last remaining guns) deleted in 1959 (previously forward and aft turret replaced by glassed observation nose and MAD), if is an advanced SP-2H/P2V-7S #55364 should be equipped with no guns.

No data on the Japanese Neptune.

Submarine #6206 Zulu (611M/56) is in 1957 configuration, only torpedo armament and without surface guns, should be "SS" and "Victory Type: Diesel Attack", not as currently "SSB" and "Victory Type: Ballistic" (can cause confussion building scenarios).

I know the HCWW is on indefinite hiatus but should there be a future update I'm interested in USS Brule, APA-66. Not much use in game terms but interesting from a personal perspective knowing someone who served on her.

This database is unlikely to be updated any time in the near future.

I'm guessing still the case.

I'm interested in doing a few scenario in the pacific islands - SE Asia in the 60s.

If changes do occur I've noticed that the EP-3s and most P-3 have high alt capability but 0 speed for all throttles at high alt.

ARM Shrike AGM-45s and Standard AGM-78 omit ship target flag

Yes, still the case. The annex limits are largely to blame.

Unfortunately this includes dedicating any time to fixing errors for the moment.
