HarpGamer was founded early in 2005 by four of us Harpooners on $4/month hosting using commercial forum software. The hosting and software costs were split between the four of us equally. Labor costs for backups have been shouldered by my company and in the last few years in part by those of us still contributing financially. The number of financial contributors has decreased to two since 2005. From BBC Electronics' 'missing link' found Details of an entirely new kind of electronic device, which could make chips smaller and far more efficient, have been outlined by scientists. The new components, described by scientists at Hewlett-Packard, are known as "memristors". Today, in partial payback for the Long Island Children's Museum, I dragged the fam over to the Cradle of Aviation Museum at Mitchel Field (an area known as museum row so just a brief walk). Some take-aways: take advantage of the knoweldge and experience of those who have gone before us before they are all gone forever. Given Long Island's history in aviation, and particularly military aviation, the majority of the museum workers are fomer Grumman and Fairchild-Republic retirees. I'm currently watching a series on Military History about the Perisher Course. You know, the RN submarine command one. Very interesting - it's the first time cameras have been allowed in 30 years. There's been a couple of sub-on-sub battles, including Triumph (the sub they're using) vs. Ula and Triumph vs. Turbulent.

A week and a half ago I happily became a married man. We left on our honeymoon to Hawaii early the next morning. The entire time was spent on Oahu and we had a great time together on the north shore and visiting Pearl Harbor.
