I see no sign of the problems mentioned regarding Unit Window corruption or Orders listen mentioned above in the 064 release.

 

I'm not clear on what exactly a pointer problem is, so I can't really speak to that.

Yes, don't worry about the pointer problem one. It is a crash bug I ran across and fixed.

 

The scenario editor one can be checked by opening a scenario you created using notepad, then search for the database name (i.e. search for HCDB). if you find the text, the fix works, if you don't find the text then there may still be a problem.

Okay, that takes care of 2008.063, leaving the 2008.064 items.

A bit more explanation on the map color one, select Light Grey click OK, previously when you went back into the dialog, no items would be selected (notably light grey). Now it should be in this build after that procedure.

I'm going with the idea that I need to make a scen with probably the lowest level mines possible and purposely drive a big sub through them. that way I can assure damage and assure that it does surface. Once I prove I can do it that way I will post the test scen for everyone else to try it.

Okay, that takes care of 2008.063, leaving the 2008.064 items.

The only one I'm having trouble checking is the sub forced surface. I'm having trouble setting up a scenario that leaves my sub only damaged instead of sunk. The mine idea did not pan out, 1 hit was not enough damage, 2 hits sank it. Any ideas anyone?

You probably have to edit an ASW weapon entry in the DB to get what you want. Try depth charges. They have a poor Ph, so you may need to bring that way up. Park an Invincible (SURTASS) ship nearby so you get a good solid fix on the sub. Dump depth charges one at a time.

even with a modified db.

 

2 torpedos with 15dp sink a 90dp Sub... :angry:

 

375mm ASW Charges do too little damage...

 

and DC at slow speed blow my own ships... :angry:

 

2 evenings testing with no result, except massive frustration

But only 1 succesfull try each side .... because most time the sub sinks before matching the surface requirements
