October 9, 200817 yr Author So anyone has both 4.1 and HT care to sum up how alike or different the data annexes are ? Cheers, thx A difficult thing to summarize, but essentially the High Tide annexes are more expansive (i.e. cover more platforms), and like all Harpoon 4 data annexes, look to update and improve upon the available information. Well, all I wanted to know was that it's indeed a new book, and not just with a few updated entries and a couple of new platforms. You seem to say that it's thick with new info ? Thx
October 9, 200817 yr You seem to say that it's thick with new info ? Its considerably more than a few entries and updates. I think its well worth the investment, but I'm a junkie for such things. Anyone else have an opinion for Nic?
October 10, 200817 yr I have both H4.1 and High Tide. The HT data annexes (is that a word?) were worth it for me alone. It has the updated Smarter Radar stats within. It expanded the platforms by going back to the 1980's hey day of the cold war. The High Tide "other book" is full of scenarios to include some including the Ground Combat System, and a numbe rof interesting sidebar articles...and the gaming the Kola Air Defences scenario generator allowing for interaction between large scale air groups and ground defenses. Once again well worth it and enthusiastically recommended, as will be Stars & Stripes when that finally sees the light of day.

Yeah me too I just hate disappointment, hehe (and why I don't spend anymore 100s if not more a year in wargames (and RPGs in another era) : I like reading rule books, but have been fooled enough times, hehe) Thanks to you and Pete for taking the time to enlighten me. Edit : clarified a sentence by adding words
October 10, 200817 yr Thanks for the explanations. I was thinking the last days in the purchase of the new rule books and db, but I use Smart Radars rules from some years ago, I dowload the data from the errata in the clash of arms site (my old books are of near 1990, yes, I'm an old harpooner !!!). Now, to wait for the post.
October 23, 200817 yr Postman arrived today. After 16 years or so, new paper rules and books received, South Atlantic War, White Ensign, Sea of Dragons and High Tide, next days I'll do suscription to Sitrep and old issues. What a lot of stuff! Hurrah !!!
