Tonight I updated the forum software and the Downloads module. Now we'll finally get to work on skinning the board.

As at least one of you has found, many of the older downloads have lost the links to the actual files. Your help would be greatly appreciated in finding those files so that I can manually re-link them.

 

I am going to suggest you reserve a category here on this topic in a manner like,

"I'm checking

Downloads

→ Harpoon Classic/HC/HCE/HUCE

→ Scenarios

→ GIUK

"

then check them all, using the "Is this file broken?" link on each one that has no actual download and enter anything in the reason (probably something short so it doesn't slow you up, like the letter A. When done with your category come back here and say,

 

"I'm done checking

Downloads

→ Harpoon Classic/HC/HCE/HUCE

→ Scenarios

→ GIUK

"

 

That will in theory prevent multiple people from testing the same downloads.

 

Thank you for the help, we're not sure yet if some of the files are really gone but a couple of the broken ones we checked (HCStrikerFictDB, Pinger Charlie) still had their files and just needed to be re-linked.

 

 

 

I'm assuming we have to press the "DOWNLOAD" button and so long as we get the normal save window with a file name its OK and we don't have to actually do the download?

 

If this is correct I checked HCclassic databases and got a few missed links and reported broken.

Haproon classis scenarios "custom" BS checked all OK.

HC scenarios, middle east checking now

Middle east checked all OK and South Africa BS scenarioas all checked OK

The trouble with doing this is I keep seeing old Scenarios I really liked and haven't played for ages plus some I don't recognise that sound very interesting

I really will start to fix the ones reported broken, too busy this weekend though!
