  1. Thanks for pointing out 3.3.5.7. I was looking in 8.0. D'oh! I will update the air contact classification and pass along the ID request.
  2. You have a new air contact via radar. The Hormone has landed. Except for rule 8.0 (Aircraft Availability for campaigns) I am not able to find any rule for turnaround time on a helo. I suppose there would be a crew change and fuel added. Would 15 minutes seem reasonable? turn_1145_blue.txt turn_1145_blue_intl.txt
  3. You have new ESM bearings. The bearing info will probably overlap, but you are picking up multiple radar types from two different ships. turn_1145_red.txt turn_1145_red_intl.txt
  4. The F-4E is feet wet and has been searching with its radar but so far has not picked up anything. The surface ship formation change is complete. I hope this is what you wanted. turn_1142_red.txt turn_1142_red_intl.txt
  5. The loitering aircraft continues to maintain roughly 50 nm away from the formation. Your warships have a new ESM bearing. turn_1142_blue.txt turn_1142_blue_intl.txt
  6. Smarter Radars are in effect.
  7. The P-3 has a new ESM detection. Also, the P-3 received a request from the USSR ship to stay at least 25 nm away. Your ships continue to move into the new formation. The P-3 will stay about 55 nm away from the formation per orders. (I don't have a loiter function in SimPlot. I suppose I could have it go to zero speed, but that would just confuse Blue player ). Did you guys want to classify the surface targets as Blue (hostile)? turn_1130_red.txt turn_1130_red_intl.txt
  8. The Sov 3D and surface search radars are on (did you mean Monolit radar?). The Hormone is on its way back to the Sov. Also, the Red aircraft has not approached any closer. turn_1130_blue.txt turn_1130_blue_intl.txt
  9. You broadcast a request for identification, and you receive a reply: "This is Islamic Republic of Iran aircraft in international airspace. Good day to you".
  10. The P-3 pilots receive a transmission on the international distress frequency: "This is Union Soviet Socialist Republic vessel Stokiy calling aircraft heading 140 degrees at 7,500 meters. Please identify yourself."
  11. Although there are no official rules for radio challenges, such things have been a part of many scenarios. I will say you have ability to broadcast a challenge if you desire.
  12. The Big Bulge ESM has gone dark. The P-3 has a new ESM bearing. Your warships are maneuvering into the desired formation. turn_1127_red.txt turn_1127_red_intl.txt
  13. The Sovremenny 3D radar has an unknown airborne contact. Would you like to classify the target? turn_1127_blue.txt turn_1127_blue_intl.txt
  14. The 3D radar will be on at the next turn. The Hormone radar will be turned off and fly at 250 deg. Would the 3D radar search both air and surface at the same time? The MR-750 is listed as 3D and SS.
  15. Would my edit in the first post change your orders?
  16. The P-3 now has five surface contacts. The F-4E is heading towards the P-3 and will then follow the ESM bearing. EDIT: I did not check for ESM intercepts from the surface ships because I thought they were too far away. They are not. So, you have 3 more bearings. Please download the turn file again. turn_1124_red.txt turn_1124_red_intl.txt
  17. The Hormone is near the end of the "radar-on leg". The pilot spots contrails from a high flying aircraft. turn_1124_blue.txt turn_1124_blue_intl.txt
  18. You are right about the contact sizes. So, as of 1115, you see one large and two medium contacts in a row.
  19. I may have erred on the Sov. The data annex says size class medium and signature small. If signature is for radar, then you should only see 3 contacts.
  20. That's okay about the ESM bearing. I will direct the fighter to follow it.
  21. Yes. You will not suffer the BOL penalty if you maintain radar contact. Just be sure to factor in the movement of the enemy ships as Harpoons are not mid-course guided.
  22. The P-3 radar is on and has picked up 4 new medium surface contacts. The F-4 aircraft are ready to launch with 1 tactical turn notice. turn_1115_red.txt turn_1115_red_intl.txt
  23. I double checked the ESM for the Krivak. It does pick up an APS-115 radar set, but the bearing is identical to the Sov bearing.
  24. Just to clarify, this was not a 30 minute turn. It was a a series of 3 minutes turns to account for altitude and speed changes for the aircraft involved. I will always pause the game at the appropriate time/phase so you don't miss an opportunity to detect and react to new threats.
  25. Hormone radar was turned on per your orders. You do not have any surface contacts.
