I haven't seen any mention of a booster addition, just a software change to permit the missile tip over, so yeah, my initial feeling would be reduced range. So, the Hellfire approach for LCS potentially brings more firepower, but it isn't terribly useful until the threat is at virtually point blank range.

8 September 1965 Under Operation Dwarka, seven surface combatants of the Pakistan Navy launch a raid against the Indian town of Dwarka, intending to destroy a radar site there and to try and draw out major units of the Indian Navy so that they might be ambushed by the ex US Navy Tench class submarine PNS Ghazi. The operation failed in both respects.

I'm back to working on the DB, and a new version should be available before the end of the month. As much as I would love to add new platforms to the Ship/MLU annex, including new versions with the latest sensor and weapon fits, we unfortunately have that same problem of rapidly diminishing space.

About the same as before. Boxing the battle group into Gdansk Bay - with Blue submarines closing in - really ensures its doom, imho. I would put the group into open water further north. This would have the effect of forcing the Blue subs to maneuver, instead of simply closing for the kill, and expand the front that Blue has to deal with. It would also put the group potentially under the air cover of fighters coming down from northern airfields.

Another small suggestion - your Russian tube artillery is given as 155mm, but in reality it is 152mm. I played through again to completion. The Russian air defences were harder to crack, but I had more Tornado IDS/ECR at my disposal so it played roughly the same time as last time. Took me longer to run strike sorties, and to achieve victory. Polish ground forces were chewed up.

29 August 1949 Izdeliye 501 (Device 501) or RDS-1, also called 'pervaya molniya' ('first lightning'), and known in the United States by its codename Joe-1, is detonated at Semipalantinsk in the Soviet Union's first successful test of an atomic bomb. The blast yields 22 kilotons, and ushers the USSR into the atomic age nearly 5 years earlier than expected in the West.
