So ridiculous! If the air-launched range is 4,3 nm, vertically launched should be even less than 4,3 nm!!!

I haven't seen any mention of a booster addition, just a software change to permit the missile tip over, so yeah, my initial feeling would be reduced range.

 

So, the Hellfire approach for LCS potentially brings more firepower, but it isn't terribly useful until the threat is at virtually point blank range.
