File Name: Pearl Harbor Midget Submarine Action, Day of Infamy File Submitter: broncepulido File Submitted: 22 Aug 2012 File Category: WestPac Midget Submarine Action in the Pearl Harbor Attack. This scenario is designed to be played from the Japanese/Red side, or the American/Blue side, but is better to play first the Japanese side. The Day of Infamy 7 December 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor is almost only remembered by the Japanese carrier-based air attack, but a very controversial, analysed and with few results midget submarine attack was in course a few hours earlier, and it was near to denial the surprise to the main Japanese attack. Later midget submarin…

I am creating a new scenario for the Caribbean. To make the scenario really work I need to provide some intel to each side at a point several days into the events. Is their any way to have the staff come in and announce anything? Seems like if the ability to launchg a strike or recon asset at some time point exists, maybe the ability to provide intel at a time point would be easy also? RAS

Played this one through this afternoon/night. US force had to withstand a massive airstrikes from airbases on the Indian mainland early on, which are off limits to counter attack. Once the Bears and Backfires are dealt with there is low to medium air activity from then on until you come into contact with the Indian SAG. Then Su-33 from the carrier air wing keep you on your toes. The SAG was bigger than anticipated, with gear you can expect from an enormous Indian naval build-up. Think wish-list. Indian subs are active and even with me looking for them, I lost one ship for each sub, a Kilo and a Victor III. Indian SAG at that point took off at max spee…

What says the forum ... Is it better to have a scenario that is "epic" in nature - spanning the entire length and breath of a region (i.e., a fight on two-fronts) OR is it better to break things down a bit and examine each front separately? I'm trying to decide on how I should craft one of the upcoming BRICS installments.

I'm an experienced Harpoon, commanders edition scenario creator. I like to create very large scenarios. However, if I make one very large, I sometimes get a memory allocation failure message. Is there a way to avoid that? Thanks, Steve

AAR: Waking the God of the Dead [spoiler Alert] A Harpoon Classic scenario By Brad Leyte Captain Goldman was re-examining the map for the umpteenth time. Where would be the best points for ingress and egress? It seemed as though any point he chose would likely be covered by one of the numerous airfields dotting the Iranian landscape. "Well, that's why they call it an INTEGRATED Air Defence System," he chided himself as base S-2 walked up to him. Benjamin Dayan asked him what ordnance he planned on using. To which Goldman asked, "What can I have?". "Anything you like. It's been approved by the Prime Minister, himself," replied Dayan. "Well, I'll m…
