Brits, Canadians, French and Australian forces reinforce the South Koreans while USSR and China openly support North Korea. Uses custom data base from René Haar/Enrique Mas (get it from the database download folder, add the associated "PfDatafiles for HC-xxtoxx-DB" for extra unit information/ graphics). A lot of air combat but …

This scenario is designed for play by the RED side only. It is October 1984. A financial crisis in Latin America has led to huge loan defaults in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. American banks, who had heavily financed the development efforts in Latin America, have been caught by surprise and are now in a serious slide.…

I'm planning a scenario using Diego Garcia, does anyone know what the current defenses are for the island? Besides the pre-positioned ships and the transient tankers and bombers what are the air defenses like and are there any fighters or garrison? Do any small naval combatants call the base home? Thanks for any insight.

File Name: Iran-Israel 2010, Survival of Israel ? File Submitter: broncepulido File Submitted: 29 Aug 2010 File Category: Middle East Note: In this scenario, to avoid spoilers, it is compulsory to play the Israeli/Blue side a few times, and only after play the Iranian/Red side. This scenario also wants to be a study about the feasibility of a strike erasing the future nuclear capabilities of Iran. My intention in this scenario was also to reproduce the Israel and Iran OOB in 2010. Some months after the political and tactical semi-failure of the Mavi Marmara affair doctored by the IHH, a supposed Turkish Islamic charity, the Foundation for Human Rights and …

Building on Mark Gellis' free idea giveaway thread, how about the following ... A scenario author builds a storyline and Red OOB. Potential players choose the player controlled Blue OOB and its disposition/posture from a list of available options. Scenario author completes the scenario based on their choices. Players play out the scenario, either for pure enjoyment or a friendly competition of sorts. Thoughts?

File Name: Coral Sea Battle (blueplay) File Submitter: donaldseadog File Submitted: 8 Jul 2010 File Updated: 18 Jul 2010 File Category: WestPac DB Used: HCWW-100326 Authors: Don Thomas Battleset-WPac: .scq - WPac - WestPac Not quite a re enactment of one of the most important battles (if only two days long) of the WWII Pacific war, but based on the situation at the time. Finding the enemy is a big part of the game, actually defeating the enemy is also a big part of the game, actually just surviving is perhaps the biggest part of the game. I expect to be able to make a number of upgrades to this as time goes on, and in particular to provide a version for IJ…

File Name: Back Door 2 File Submitter: donaldseadog File Submitted: 30 Jun 2010 File Category: MEDC DB Used: HCDB-100528 Authors: Don Thomas Battleset-MEDC: .sco - EC2003 - EC2003 This was only meant to be a minor revision of my previous "Back Door" to correct a minor 'undesirable', but the scenario has become quite different to play so I thought I'd post it separately. Generally similar to 'Back Door' but this should be (usually) less hectic at the start but with with more action spread through the voyage and a couple of possible possible surprises at what might be the end? I apologize if this is not the proper place to post it but...... Has anyone done a scenario where the Soviets have overrun Europe much likes the Germans did and the RAF/NATO is faced with having to defend their bases and industry against Soviet bombers? And based in the EC2003 GIUK battleset/database. I was thinking something along the lines of all the Soviet heavy bombers coming out of Norway and then Frogfoots and such out of France supported by Flankers, etc. and then on the English side NATO Tornados, Eurofighters, F-15's, F-16's, E-3's, etc. And maybe some cross channel Special Forces stuff (Pave Low's, MC-130's, SEALS from subs, etc.) Victory condit…

The (I think last) third in the saga. Your British carrier group has to cruise to port in Gibraltar and dodge one or two French nasties. Depending on your luck with the groups initial (variable) positions this can end in a naval gunnery battle, or rather nasty sub attack (or both). Hope you enjoy it. "It gets hot" A HCE scenario written by Donald Thomas aka donaldseadog Battleset: EC 2003 GIUK Database: HCDB The scenario is designed to be played from the British = blue side. After Action Report, Part I by Ralf Koelbach Another scenario focusing on a France vs. Britain conflict. The English Channel will be the battlefield and a lot of assets are in the game. 1. First steps Since the Channel is small and easy to cross for fighter bombers, safety first is to choose. I ferry several aircraft from the Northern bases to forward ones in order to build up a fortress close to the Channel. The carrier group leaves RN Devenport and its aircraft a…

Okay, here's the situation... I just upgraded to Windows 7, and I love it, but the scenario editor no longer works. The game itself runs fine, though. I understand this has something to do with the difference between 64-bit and 32-bit systems. I know there are some work-arounds for this, including Virtual Machines, etc., but I don't have any of those set up yet and I'm honestly not sure when I will get around to it. Any chance someone is working on a new version of the scenario editor? You know, one that will work under Windows 7? In any event, it occurred to me that I can still contribute to the Harpoon community by posting detailed scenario ideas …

"Napoleon's revenge" A HCE scenario written by Donald Thomas aka donaldseadog Battleset: EC 2003, Atlantic Ocean Database: HCDB The scenario is designed to be played from the French = red side. After Action Report, Part I The headline sounded promising: Napoleon's revenge -nice! The opponents are France and the United Kingdom, they have without a doubt a long common history. Ok, let's start with a force composition check: - a powerful carrier group centered around the Charles de Gaulle - three nuclear attack subs and - two airfields, one deploying the fine Rafale fighter bomber This should be enough to sink the Ark Roy…

File Name: Napoleon's Revenge File Submitter: donaldseadog File Submitted: 20 May 2010 File Category: NACV DB Used: HCDB-100308 Authors: don thomas Battleset-NACV: .scn - EC2003 - EC2003 Spurred by a sentence in an EC2003 battleset scenario, here we have France 'teaching a lesson' to the UK after they leave the European Alliance against USA. A small scale scenario pitting a French carrier group against an English with limited shore based air support but with additional surface and subsurface vessels. You can play either Red or Blue though its intended primarily as a blue play so the reds are slightly better equipped. For EC 2003 NACV battleset, HCDB-100308 d…

After Action Report for 'Business as Usual' A scenario by AJ Heredia (Juramentado) 'Business as Usual' is a new HCE scenario for the Westpac battleset. I played the scenario from the BLUE side using beta 2010.005 and the HCDB database. Scenario Background Orders Intel reports formations at least ten (10) small boats between Zamboanga and Basilan, typically composed of small attack groups centered around a mothership. A group of stolen Indonesian Navy patrol boats is reported possibly south of Basilan. A detachment of aid personnel and supplies is being shipped from Zamboanga to Basilan, aboard the Philippine Navy LSM P06. Also, local commercial traf…

File Name: F-94C Starfire in Korea File Submitter: broncepulido File Submitted: 15 May 2010 File Category: WestPac This was in the begining a test scenario to test unguided air-to-air rockets, basically in the F-94C Starfire, and his effectiveness (I was very dubtious about the capability in the game of a unguided rocket to hit in a flying airplane). And I'm not detected crashes in this scenario, at least for now. But now I think it can be very simple introductory scenario to Harpoon HCE, mostly for old time interception and worth of release it, with the flavour of the early 1950s. The situation report is very simple, your're at the command of the 39th Fighter In…
