Background: This forum encapsulates perhaps the most thorough documentation of sub-optimal performance of HC. Most of the reports demonstrate excellent form and presentation to make addressing defects as easy as possible, use them as a template. The term Defect is used since not everything is a bug; some items are bugs, some are design limitations, some voice a dissenting viewpoint, defect is the term chosen to cover all of the ground.

Hints: A test scenario is better than a saved game. A tiny test scenario targeted at the problem helps track down the issue. The fewer the units in the scenario, the easier to debug as well.

  2. When exiting game and saving only one time during the game, eg at game close, on opening the saved game the UUID and UUID_PREV values of ScenSaveDataIn are unchanged from the previous session.   5. recently while works was done with future data base It was notice on the base selection popup almost all bases only highlighted Blue for Named bases and Red for almost all ZZdonotuse base. It did not matter which color was selected for base creation. The create a base popup determined the color of the base created regardless of the country base popup's color. In short if you selected create red base in pop up screen and chose the only available blue base listed that you wanted it would still be a red base upon selection.   6. Tony, In the update you just released when you add a base to a scenario and then close the box the SE closes. I was adding a base to Taiwan. I reinstalled hc2020.004GESE and the SE didn't close when I closed the Add Base Menu.   7. After leaving TonyD and I alone for 15 minutes we found an issue with the 2023.003 version of the SE. When selection weapons on a plane at an air base the SE Crashes. When selecting Sensor on a ship or a sub the SE crashes. Crashes verified by TD and myself with various db's and scenarios.     Tony, SE Screen Magnification is a problem. When I went to 2X mummification I was unable ti scroll right or left. I could go up but not down. The same thing happens at the other magnification settings. There is black (land) where water is supposed to be. I was trying to set AD units that were Barges in a very tight area of water. I couldn't move the screen to the right. Attached is a copy of my latest db, scenario file and several screen sshots.   17. Magazines on ships and bases don't match mounts in PE. In some cases red magazines are on blue ships and bases. Looking deeper into my db it seems that the 1st magazine of a ship or base seems to be the one that is incorrect. Several examples are shown in the Word Doc. in the attached zip file.   20. Since we can now capture bases, I changed the size of the runway on Sinuiju North Korea (ID 52621)from small to large. The base size in the SE and GE do not change size.
