TonyE Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I think if we were able to adopt varied ready times, we could get most of the way there in terms of what is offered by both ready times and magazines. And what I mean here is that by allowing the scenario editor to vary ready times, there is potential to effectively limit magazines. I'm not understanding here. Please elaborate on where you would be entering ready times and how they would impact the game. Allowing the scenario editor to vary ready times is too broad, is it per installation, per loadout, per plane, ...? Quote

I think I would prefer it be something the scenario author could do, when aircraft are added to a scenario, but the fallback position would be to hardwire ready times into the loadouts set out in the DB. TonyE Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 From IRC Chat at one level, we have the hardwired ready times, which would be great if we could change in the DB per loadout cool, that's a start at another, more flexible level, the scenario author can edit a ready time so that a group of aircraft don't become available until some hours after scenario start a one-time shot there then right, then back to the DB listed ready time? right Quote
broncepulido Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I'm also for hardwire ready times into the loadouts set out in the DB. About "by allowing the scenario editor to vary ready times, there is potential to effectively limit magazines.", I think Brad means as me, as example, a very limited scenario of 24-48-72 hours timeplay, centered on Philippines: If the US player has extended load times for B-52 based in Guam (2 to 6 hours), he's actually limiting magazines, in 24 or 72 hours scenarios his posibilities of reload the B-52 are by far more limited that way than if the reload time is 1 hour as in the rest of planes. As consequence, is equivalent to a reduced disponibility of weapons in the base magazines, or representing the supply of weapons to Guam (by air or sea transport), what is limited in time and volumen availability.
