I expect most everyone will agree that Qaddafi and his 'infrastructure' proved a tougher nut to crack than anyone would have believed, excepting those who are aware of the limits of airpower, and 'limited' airpower at that.

The incident has been confirmed by Libyan government spokesman Moussa Ibrahim. The target appears to have been the italian frigate Bersagliere, which was about 19 kilometres off the Libyan city of Zlitan. The missile fell harmlessly into the sea about two km away, the Italian defence ministry and NATO reported.
