February 22, 201412 yr great additions to the HCCW database, early Cold War planes, thanks! (but I'm out and with little spare time)
February 28, 201412 yr The B-47E Stratojet range with some 10000 lb bombs (4xB28, 2340 lb apiece) should be something as at least 4000 nm, not 1466, as reflected, as example in: http://www.alternatewars.com/SAC/B-47E_Stratojet_(Heavyweight)_SAC_-_7_June_1955.pdf (And some 3756 nm in the case of the new B-47B entry). Also a similar case with the two KB-50 entries, with a range of only 2210 nm, they're not very usefull for air refueling, a more realistic range should be something as 5073 nm, as example in: http://www.alternatewars.com/SAC/KB-50J_and_K_Superfortress_SAC_-_4_December_1959.pdf (Yes, I know KB-50 carries JP-5 and gasoline, but if we don't include the gasoline to fly the KB-50 at a reasonable distance to transfer the half of the liquid load (JP-5) to other planes, they task is neglibible).
March 3, 201412 yr Author Thanks Enrique. Some confusion of values between range and combat radius was going on there. The usual omissions as well.
March 3, 201412 yr Ok Brad, real life issues (at least not bad issues, only Little time issues) prevent me temporary of scenario edition, but at least I can revise the DB at slow pace ...
March 4, 201412 yr Author Ok Brad, real life issues (at least not bad issues, only Little time issues) prevent me temporary of scenario edition, but at least I can revise the DB at slow pace ... No worries.
March 5, 201412 yr Author Why no Danish or French F-100's in the DB? The French F-100D is in there. Go ahead and request whatever you would like to see.
March 7, 201412 yr OK Aircraft Denmark: F-100D, F-100F Norway: F-104G, F-5A B Sweden: J-35A, J-37A Ships FRG: Lutjens Class DDG, Koln Class FF GDR: Osa 1 Subs: FRG: Type 205 Thanks. rpm.
March 9, 201412 yr Almost every Draken variant is present in the HCCW DB, including three different J35A (entries 11160, 11161 and 11164). They are present other Viggen variants (AJ37 entry 11140 and SH37 entry 11141), the JA37 was in service only from 1980, out of the scope of this database. The GDR Osa I is present (entry 2780). The other requested platforms are not present.
March 9, 201412 yr Lockheed T-33A and RT-33A, employed widely as COIN aircraft and as fighter in the 1961 Bay of Pigs action (in fact, the elonged T-33 fuselage made it faster than F-80 Shooting Star!).
March 9, 201412 yr The Douglas B-26 Invader ranges are halved, they are some confussion, 839 nm is the radius, not the range, as showed in: http://www.alternatewars.com/SAC/B-26B_Invader_(LEFT)_CS_-_17_May_1950_(Yip).pdf B-26B LEFT (solid nose) conversión with the low turret deleted and 125 more USG fuel, range with 4000 lb bombs 1668 nm (some 1780 with the reserves). http://www.alternatewars.com/SAC/B-26C_Invader_CS_-_17_May_1950_(Yip).pdf Unmodified B-26C (glass nose) with both aft turrets, range with 4000 lb bombs 1510 nm (some 1613 with the reserves). If not, the Cuba Libre B-26B can't reach Havana from Puerto Cabezas (Nicaragua) for a Bay of Pigs invasión scenario!!!
March 12, 201412 yr Author Next update will feature most of these and many more platforms from the FRG (West Germany).
