Background: This forum encapsulates perhaps the most thorough documentation of sub-optimal performance of HC. Most of the reports demonstrate excellent form and presentation to make addressing defects as easy as possible, use them as a template. The term Defect is used since not everything is a bug; some items are bugs, some are design limitations, some voice a dissenting viewpoint, defect is the term chosen to cover all of the ground.

Replace "Username" with your forum username and 2017.011 with the version of the game in which you see the issue.
Hints: A test scenario is better than a saved game. A tiny test scenario targeted at the problem helps track down the issue. The fewer the units in the scenario, the easier to debug as well.

In the historical Operation Opera one of the flights was not 2xF-15A, it was 1xF-15A+1xF-15B, a special F-15B with a undisclosed type of offensive ECM. After launching and setting AC to patrol at high altitude, when aircraft reaches patrol location speed goes to 0kts. Attached is a saved game just before the AC reaches it patrol location as well as the scenario created for the test. GE log has been included. Is this behaviour going to cause any problems when the a/c have more than one type of weapon? i.e. a plane with both ARMs and bombs/AShMs? Will the release of one type cause the a/c to return to base? Conversely, will the non-release of one type (i.e. ARMs) cause the plane to continue even though it should probably RTB once the AShMs are fired?

I might have wrongly read TonyE comments on the GE changes but assumed that if no total victory conditions are set in the scenario total victory will be granted if all enemy are destroyed but this doesn't happen if there are remaining neutrals.

When Saving a Scenario that I was editing, the message below came up several times. Scenario seems to save Ok. When reopening it appears that all changes were saved. Selecting Retry seems to save the Scenario. The zip file consists of the latest edition of my db, the SE Log file and a copy of the scenario. If you need any additional info please let me know. Saved scenario with 2021.006 and save did not produce any messages and SE did not crash. Spartly Island 4 Part 1 Update 12.zip

Hey TonyE Was doing some testing on the latest launcher. Was changing load outs on AC groups and this popped up in scenario editor. It would create up to 160 new ac during re doing loadouts. It happens for BS scenarios and user created both. Verified by Eric. TonyD

Occasionally I've seen that missiles in AA engagement get bonus pK rolls, sometimes. I thought this is a bug. Yesterday I came across a save which produced this consistently. A rule?? It seems like if a missile group is attacking an air group with N units then each missile above 2N gets two pK rolls E.g. load attached save file, if CVA attacks WUA 2 x Mig-23 with 4 missiles > 4 pK rolls 5 missiles > 6 pK rolls 6 missiles > 8 pK rolls etc…

With 2 ship task group I launched 6 AC in a group. After Splitting AC only the first plane lands from Air Group ABA after game is saved and then restarted. I launched 3 plane from each ship in 1 group. Split Plane group so that planes would land on the correct ship. Landing Test 5-Landing plane 1 is where I saved the game. After that group ABA wouldn't land anymore planes. Included in my file is the test scenario, several saved games and a copy of my db. Air groups HaA and FvA were landing on the same time on carrier group AAC. When the last plane in group HaA landed group FvA did not land. Group FvA was split off of HaA. Created a test scenario with 1 base and 1 CV and the same splitting of the air group and both groups landed correctly. Created a smaller version of the game using DonT's AI tool Box and both air groups landed. The saved game has not been edited. If more saved game files are needed please let me know. Issue Information Issue ID #000207 Issue Type Issue Severity 0 - None Assigned Status UNFILED Version 2017.016 Fixed in AC Loitering AltitudePosted by eeustice on 11 January 2018 - 05:32 PM When editing an Air Groups course AC would not loiter at end of course when AC stay at same altitude even though Loiter button was selected. To get the AC to loiter you need to go back into the Edit Order screen and select Set Altitude and Speed and then select Loiter. The AC will then loiter at the end of the new course. If you change altitude at the end of your course the AC will loiter at the new altitude without having to go bac and select loiter a 2nd time. Attache…

It appears that ActGroupPtr (for use with Export.dll) does not ‘fire’ when the selected group in the GE changes by virtue of an air group being split. The Zip file includes the saved game ActGrouPtrNoFIreGrpSplt.hpq and its parent scenario for use in WestPac BS with HCDB 150929 DB . To replicate open the saved game and select the Air group ABA (comprising two F-111), split one plane and follow the normal suggested setting of a course for the new group ACA. The selected group in the game changes from the original Air Group to the new Group but ActGroupPtr does not fire in export.dll addon programs eg LazGUI (see included JPG) and the ActGroupPtr remains the old s…
