If you haven't seen this movie already, I recommend it for the adrenaline and nostaglia rush alone. Put your technical knowledge in park, of course, and enjoy the ride. ** Spoilers ** For the F-14 lovers out there -- our own TonyE included -- you won't be disappointed. 😁

Should anyone want to buy me a present, Mizu Super Yachts look a whole lot like warships on the outside and would be a prime choice of gift. Now if anyone does give me such a gift, I'll take it for one cruise, put it up for sale, quit my job, and write warfare simulations for the rest of my life. So win-win for all of us, right? HarpoonPages invites you to participate in the 11th Annual Pooner Vote. Congratulations again to the 2006 Pooner Jan Paul Koester and lifetime Pooner Darrel Dearing. The 2007 Pooner will receive their choice of H3ANW, HCE, or World In Conflict but the real reward is the voters sharing their reasons for choosing who they chose. There will be no Lifetime Pooner awarded this year in order to get back to a roughly two to one ratio of yearly to lifetime Pooners. To vote and view the past winners, visit http://www.harpoonpages.com/poonervote/pooner-Intro.php. !!!Please note that you can vote for anyone who hasn't previously won, even if they aren't listed …

Not as grand and sexy as Brad's new addition to the CV32 State Arsenal, I am about 98% complete on a scratch built 1/285-ish Landing Craft Utility. By 1/285-ish, my 1/285 M1 Abrams look just about right when loaded, and during off-load. I captured an image of the LCU from global security. Cropped, resized, colored, printed, cut, used to trace on to styrene, cut styrene, glued my colorized images onto the styrene, glued the styre pieces together. looks pretty good. It is useable, but I feel that I cannot leave it as is. I will attempt to construct the pilothouse tonight with styrene components since the rest of the ships edges are fairly 2-D. Photos (hopefully…

Merry Christmas all, expect some HC builds 1st quarter 2017. I'll mainly be attempting to get the gradual turns and altitude changes in line but maybe a few other fun things will come to fruition along the way!

  16. The pandemic has encroached again leaving us as a family of two full-time working adults with a 100% distance learning child and a daycare child whose room at daycare is closed for two weeks of quarantine. Pray that we don't get sick (the daycare protocols are pretty strict so we're not too worried). See you on the other side!

Over the years I've wanted to make tutorial videos for Harpoon Classic. That has happened minimally in fits and starts via: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPKrveki4y2fcobCgcmi9xS-JTgw-iHN5 For at least a year now I've been wanting to gauge interest in livestreaming HC (Twitch, Youtube Live, etc.). Please answer the poll included and comment with any additional information you are willing to share such as: 1. What day(s) of week and time(s) of day you would want to watch. 2. What chat mechanism(s) you would use for interacting. ...

Is anyone going to NAVCON this year? http://www.navcongames.com/ We're going to try to organize a meet there in 2014. The organizers and H4 Paper game master were easy to contact and have patiently answered my questions while giving me crap for being excited about a convention over a year away. If you aren't going this year, reserve your early October 2014 to come and enjoy watching or participating in some paper Harpoon as well as meet some of the faces behind forum posts.

  20. Just a thought... Command is very similar to Harpoon and it has the same level of quality--excellent information, realism, gameplay, etc. I think it is going to be a very important part of the naval simulation world for some time to come. Maybe it would make sense to "adopt" Command and make Harpgamer a clearinghouse for information about it, too, including forums for discussing it, and a repository for files, scenarios, etc. I'm not sure how hard it would be to add a new set of sub-forms forums for Command to the site, but this seems to me like a natural direction for Harpgamer to take. Any thoughts on this? Mark
