NST-161 was an Indian copy of the German SUT that was supposed to enter service around 1999 after delay and probably never materialized. Varunastra was originally identified as project NST-188, and unsurprisingly, also badly delayed. I have little doubt that there has been some R&D overlap.

I know are in the list, but think we need an update of the Victor-class submarines, mostly variants without 650mm torpedoes after the Kursk accident (Type 65 torpedo retired in 2001?), and Improved Victor III/671RTMK with Kalibr-PL missile complex, and perhaps more Type 53-65K antisurface torpedoes.

Apparently the current Improved Victor III with Kalibr-PL/SS-N-27 Slizzer (Missile in service from 1999?) are:

B-524, from 1996?, but retired in 2002.

B-138 Obnisk, from 2011?

 

B-502 Volgograd was modernized in the lines of B-524 in 1992, almost sure without Kalibr-PL, and retired in 2000.

The other DHC-8 variant is a "black" and exotic variant, US Army RO-6A, equivalent to MC-12W Liberty but bigger (Not of much interest, we can use MC-12W).

Scramble report that three DHC-8s at Tucson have been given military serials:-
- N8300F c/n 338 now wears tail number 50338 (OK, I guessed wrong for the identity of this one).
- N8300G c/n 348 now wears tail number 50348
- N8300S c/n 577 now wears tail number 50577

All were noted at Tucson IAP 18th Feb 2016. You can see from Kevin's pictures that they wear their c/ns on the nosewheel door.

It is thought that certain modifications will be made to convert them into RO-6A ARL and that Dynamic AvLease will then relinquish ownership and their operation to the US Army. We will have to wait for the other 3 to appear (N8300L c/n 352, N8300T c/n 358 and N8300Y c/n 332)
