Requests for the HCDB (Official DB of HCE) and HCDB2
The presence of a hangar is not the sole determinant of whether a ship has the ability to land a helicopter (e.g. many replenishment vessels), although it is obviously germane to the ability to sustain aviation capability. Meanwhile I think you meant SA-N-20 instead of SS-N-20.

Updating GE
You'll have to be more specific regarding versions and filenames. But for general guidance: Those newer builds are currently HC2017.013 (for the Game Engine (GE) and Scenario Editor (SE)) and HC2017.011 (for the DB Utilities and Battleset Builder, etc).

Requests for the HCDB (Official DB of HCE) and HCDB2
Thanks. Very few of the Russian/Soviet ship entries have yet been brought up to HCDB2 standard (as indicated by the lack of the new name nomenclature). I will get to them in due course.

AAR: Fire and Fury
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it. The scenario ended up being tougher on the player than I expected, even with the TLAM option added. As TonyE has already mentioned, the stealth model in HCE is pretty rudimentary. Not only does it not take into account such things as LPI radar, but there is no distinguishing between radars as to more complex characteristics such as frequency.

Sorry if this wasn't obvious, lol.

Formation Editor Question
I think what Nightshade111 is asking is where the two new formation rings fall in terms of function. As in, the four previously existing rings were Main Body, Anti-Air Warfare (AAW), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Picket, so what are the two new rings?

HC 2017.013
Thanks Enrique. I have also noticed that aircraft operating within ASW formation patrols are also running out of fuel and crashing, which seems likely related to the 'drifting' issue.

HC 2017.013
Two issues that will need test scenarios (and testing) from intrepid players: * tendency for aircraft in ASW formation patrol to drop sonobuoys in ineffectual clusters rather than randomly distributed within their assigned patrol zone * aircraft under AI control to go to Vlow altitude while performing evasion, and aircraft under player control to go to Vlow altitude while performing auto intercept

Russian Intervention in Syria
Certainly could, depending on the system in question. In this case, both the radar and the SAM were on the other side of intervening terrain (a mountain), but I was still engaged.

Russian Intervention in Syria
I didn't spend any appreciable amount of time with ANW. Early on with CMANO,I was being engaged by SAMs on the other side of intervening terrain, but I haven't played it in a while and I don't know if the issue was addressed. It is interesting that Turkey is actually looking to acquire S-400 in the aftermath of the events in Syria.
