CDR Salamander - If They Clicked off a Nuke ....
I've played with these before. Very interesting, if not a little depressing/scary. They typically don't take into effect attenuating factors like season/time of year, precipitation, etc. I've usually felt pretty safe from strategic nuclear doom, though during the height of the Cold War I wouldn't entirely discount the possibility of a nuke being tossed in our direction, given the geographic location of the airport/seaport.

Basic Question: How to use Downloaded Scenario?
As stated at the download page for this scenario, the scenario Approach runs with the HCDA database and the custom South Atlantic battleset. You need both of these components to run this scenario. They are also available for download here. The BLz and RDz files are the BLUE and RED side orders files, respectively. The SCz file is the scenario file. Once you have the database and battleset installed, you can dump these files (BLz, RDz and SCz) into your main HCE directory and run the scenario.

NNSotD (Naval News Summary of the Day)
Not sure I would take it quite that far. The Su-25 Grach (NATO Frogfoot) is a ground attack jet, so it would not surprise me in the least if the Iranian pilots did not get much training in air to air gunnery. Moreover, taking 'warning' shots would seem to be more in line with Iran's politics lately rather than outright hostile action.

This is unlikely to improve. I don't think he would mind me saying that he has 'moved on'.
