Yesterday on TV, I saw a documentary about the Al-Basrah Oil Terminal off the coast of Iraq. Has anyone designed or considered designing a scenario regarding this current situation? And is it even possible? Just being honest, I don't know about the databases to know if there is a way to create the sort of situation that forces in the Gulf are currently facing. Obviously, some sort of civilian airplane attack on the Terminal is not possible, with no civilian type airplanes in the database. Are there any ships that can be created that would be able to try and attack the terminal? The defending forces while centering on a CBG, the primary defens…

File Name: Sixth Battle File Submitter: CV32 File Submitted: 6 Dec 2008 File Updated: 8 Dec 2008 File Category: South Africa DB Used: HCDB-081124 Authors: Brad Leyte Battleset-South Africa: .scu - CDB - CDB Sixth Battle (version 2.0) A Harpoon Commander's Edition (HCE) scenario for the South Africa Battleset. This scenario is intended for play by the BLUE side only. This scenario is a tribute to a favorite novel of mine, The Sixth Battle by Barrett Tillman, and although some effort has been expended at recreating the battle depicted in that book, I have also taken varied some of the events and players to make a workable Harpoon scenario. The scenari…

File Name: Iran-Israel 2010, Survival of Israel ? File Submitter: broncepulido File Submitted: 29 Aug 2010 File Category: Middle East Note: In this scenario, to avoid spoilers, it is compulsory to play the Israeli/Blue side a few times, and only after play the Iranian/Red side. This scenario also wants to be a study about the feasibility of a strike erasing the future nuclear capabilities of Iran. My intention in this scenario was also to reproduce the Israel and Iran OOB in 2010. Some months after the political and tactical semi-failure of the Mavi Marmara affair doctored by the IHH, a supposed Turkish Islamic charity, the Foundation for Human Rights and …

to rename the generic INTL Airbase <size> when using them? I've looked for the key to do so, but either it doesn't exist, or I'm missing something obvious. While I'm asking about the Scenario Editor: Is there any way to see group and/or unit inclusion probabilities? i.e. for example, the original GIUK Dawn Patrol sometimes has 3 Nanuchkas, and other times has 4. Any way to find or display the probability? Would be nice to know the intent of the scenario designer when updating the scenarios.

Can you guys go through your scenario uploads and use nice small thumbnails? I think it is more important to be able to read the information than to see a photo or screenshot overtake the web browser. I would propose a maximum width of 320 or so pixels, something like... Or if you think I'm way off base I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Saw this request on the AGSI website: " ... can we get a basic scenario that has all the bases with the peacetime deployments? It would be really awesome to have the abilty to create scenarios based on making forward deployments as part of the vitory conditions. IE CVBG on east coast, with components having to form up and deploy whie engaging individual sub units. Or a Air wing being moved forward to a base being challenged, or a convoy being formed up. Its just so tough sometimes to know the natural progressions of a unit forming up, that if we had a base scenario with all units in place, we could just then remove those bases, ships, subs and planes not considered es…

File Name: Okean 80 File Submitter: CV32 File Submitted: 14 Sep 2012 File Category: GIUK A Harpoon Commander's Edition scenario for the EC2003 GIUK Battleset. This scenario is designed for play by the BLUE side. Okean (Ocean) 70, conducted by the USSR during April and May 1970, was the largest exercise held by any navy since the end of WWII. Hundreds of surface ships, submarines and land based aircraft participated simultaneously in several worldwide operating regions, including the Barents, Norwegian Sea, Baltic, and Mediterranean, as well as in the Pacific. Five years later, in April 1975, another major Soviet naval exercise, dubbed Okean 75, repeated the…

This is my first scenario after a several years without harpoon on my computer, so please offer any and all critiques on this as I hope to write several scenarios based on the Senkaku and Spratly Islands and Taiwan, (possibly involving NK and SK too) The background is yet another confrontation by chinese fishing trawlers. Several had anchored just off of one of the islands. As expected a standoff ensued until the JCG attempte…

Hello, I am testing an user scenario called Operation Gauntlet. I have some questions. First, what is the difference between fighter, attack and bomber for the AI. AI have 24 attack F-16AM with a initial loadout of intercept duty. When AEW detect my red fleet some attack planes reload their loadout and attack my ships instead of continue with the intercept loadout. Why? I think this is based on the type of aircraft. I suppose that AI uses its planes depending on the type: fighters always fights against aircraft and bombers fights against ships or bases. Attack planes fights with both: planes and ships or bases. Am I correct? I suppose that fighters don't change their…
