    When I select Settings/Game Options/Water Color/Textured, I see no effect. Light and Dark both work OK, but going to textured from either does nothing. Anyone else see this? Buddha

    2008.058 SE Little did I know there was even a Rename Unit command in the SE. Anyway, I tried to rename the Blue airfield in WestPac 1.0 and the SE crashed with a GetAnnex error. For now I'd suggest not using the Rename Unit with non ship/sub units but maybe there is hope to enable renaming since the UI already exists (as does the data structure).

    It would be helpful to add the name of the battleset used in the test scenario as part of the general information. I don't have the suffix letters memorized and it would be easier than scrolling through the battlesets to find which it belongs to.

    I'm back to getting the old Vista "Not Responding" whenever I try to use time compression in any scenario with 2008.061. Sometimes it passes, sometimes not. I'm also getting the "Program has stopped working" on exit, which went away for a while. I think it's apparent that Vista has had a problem running Harpoon from the initial inability to use the Help menu through the ever present "Not Responding" for which Vista is famous. I don't blame Harpoon for this, I blame Vista, which is the biggest disaater since the Edsel if you ask me. I'll continue testing as best I can, but I can't promise anything constructive until wahtever is causing the compatibility probl…

    Your feedback at http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...&showbug=39 is encouraged. I want to deal with this in some manner before we release the demo. My preferred solution is to only allow AI aircraft with Intercept type loadouts (Intercept..., Escort...) to come out of formation or otherwise be re-assigned to intercept duties. That means if a EW or ASW loadout has AAMs it will only use them in self defense and not go chasing F-22s. Suggestions, approve, disapprove? Please add your comments at the link above.

    Hi Please cut the Side to 3 digits and give the country some more digits so the countys have at least 3 or 4, better 5 digits. With the actual 2 digits for countrs it is a real pain... Regards René

    With the latest beta release, I'm getting the old Vista "Not Responding" alerts whenever I try to use my mouse at any time compression 5 min or greater. This includes group selection, menu pull down, etc. Keyboard commands do not appear to be affected. I can cycle through units using space bar and back space for instance, but any attempt to select a group with the mouse results in "Not Responding". At time compression 1 min and below the mouse acts as it always has. Buddha

Find a new build of the DLL uploaded in a few minutes.

(thanks Rene) I've attached my test rig in case anyone wants to use it to verify things are working.     Please take the attached program for a spin. It is to gauge performance showing units on a new unit map view. Report back with your findings. A good measure may be how many units you can have in a 5 deg by 5 deg box and still have it be useable at low zoom levels. You can unzip the files pretty much anywhere, it need not be in your HCE directory. This is so far a totally independent test rig. All I'm looking for is your thoughts and feelings about the performance; no need to report quirks at this juncture. The z and x keys should zoom the map in and out if the map has the focus. Don't show nuke loadouts in Active Unit Display until nuke release is granted. As in previous builds, don't allow player to load a plane with nukes until nuclear release is granted.     The following testers need to get some participation in by the end of the month to remain on the beta testing team for HCE. Gopher - You need 3 meaningful contributions Angle of Attack - You also need 3 meaningful contributions RA-5C - ditto Tasan - ditto Charlie - You confirmed half of the items from the 2008.045 release notes and made one additional meaningful contribution. That leaves the other items from 2008.045 release notes (BS Builder related iirc) and two additional meaningful contributions. I could even be convinced to accept 4 meaningful contributions as an alternative.
