From Stratfor The Obstacles to the Capture of Osama bin Laden By Fred Burton and Scott Stewart Al Qaeda's As-Sahab media arm released a video Sept. 11 to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Although the 47-minute video features a voice-over introduction by Osama bin Laden, the bulk of it is of Abu Musab Waleed al-Shehri, one of the suicide bombers who crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Center's north tower. That recording was made prior to al-Shehri's travel to the United States in the spring of 2001. There is nothing in bin Laden's audio segment to indicate it was recorded recently. The production does include a still…

New York Times April 10, 2007 Pg. B8 Intrepid To Be Dry-Docked For Repairs To Hull By Patrick McGeehan The aircraft carrier Intrepid, the floating military museum, is scheduled to move again early today, but this short voyage should be much smoother than the ship’s difficult departure from Manhattan last year. The Intrepid, which has been tied up at a cruise-ship mooring in Bayonne, N.J., since December, is bound for a two-month stay in an adjacent dry dock. This will be the first time the 41,000-ton ship has been out of water in 30 years, according to Bill White, president of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. A team of tugboats will push the …

WSJ.com PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Anybody want some top-secret seagoing vessels? The Navy has a pair it doesn't need anymore. It has been trying to give them away since 2006, and they're headed for the scrap yard if somebody doesn't speak up soon. One is called Sea Shadow. It's big, black and looks like a cross between a Stealth fighter and a Batmobile. It was made to escape detection on the open sea. The other is known as the Hughes (as in Howard Hughes) Mining Barge. It looks like a floating field house, with an arching roof and a door that is 76 feet wide and 72 feet high. Sea Shadow berths inside the barge, which keeps it safely hidden from spy satellites. The b…

Inaceptable politics aside, the nazis have a clear aestetical appeal and a recent very funny side: nazi zombies, nazi paranormal agents against Hellboy or Captain America ... Now, begining the view of Iron Sky, I saw a new nazi title, the bad girl has the rank of "Mondjugendunterfuhrerin" !!!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Sky

The hassle over E-Mails from the administration, and the attendant attention paid to them by FOX news and others embarasses me as an American. Who among us doesn't empty SPAM from our in-boxes? I've lived in places where those who spoke against the regime simply disappeared. When things get to that point, please warn me. Until then, don't waste my time with nonsense. Buddha

I'm watching a special on Nat'l Geographic about life aboard the Reagan. Good looking female cooks and T-Bones on the chowline? Where was stuff like that when I was on the Midway? I don't begrudge our troops anything that makes their lives easier, but man, I was obviously born too early. Thing is, my Dad was WWII Navy, and no doubt thought the same thing about us during 'Nam. I suggest looking at the 3.0 betas rather than version 2 for something that is easier to get running. http://www.springsharp.com/
