Only the second time the number of shots reportet didn´t match the mount capacity.

Yup, it is saying how many it would fire if it had the ammo, at least it isn't firing more than it has :)

Judging from the looks of this...were ships running their magazines dry on point defense?

 

And is it now only allowing 30 shots, or rather 15 seconds of ammo?

 

If what I am reading is correct, it fired 30 shots in the first attack, then 30 in the second. Was it actually firing more than that before?

It tried to fire 30 in the second shot, but there were only 10 left because of the mount design....

 

it fires 15 seconds of the ROF Amount.

 

in this case 30 out of 120 shots....

See the issue tracker. We got a problem with port mounts engaging in point defense. Will someone else test out if they can get a gun mount with a port arc to engage point defense?
