May 4, 200620 yr Dear By opening the WW3 scenario with the SCENEDT.EXE (B12) I get every time the "GetAnnex Error" and then crash the program. Also somebody here a idea what I can do? Thanks and regards Gopher
May 5, 200620 yr Actually since you brought this up it reminds me... There are a couple of Iranian units (both versions of PTM Kaman) that always cause a crash when you attempt to view them in platform display in the SE. A corruption perhaps?
May 5, 200620 yr I just tested with my SE with HCDB and I am able to view both the early and late version of the Kaman. There might be data corruption within your file.
May 6, 200620 yr By opening the WW3 scenario with the SCENEDT.EXE (B12) I get every time the "GetAnnex Error" and then crash the program. Sorry for the silly question, but are you certain that you are using the HCDB?
May 6, 200620 yr OK, little update on it. Reinstalled the newest version of the DB released here at Harpoongamer. Kaman (Early) now works fine. Kaman (Late) only causes a crash if you attempt to look at its weapons load. PTM Houdong produces the exact same error if you attempt to view the weapons. Is it possible that there is a corrupted mount/weapon in the database?
May 6, 200620 yr Sorry to doubt you, Gopher. I just tried to open Brad's WW3 scenario, too, with the HCCE SE b12 and I get the same result. General Protection Fault in module WSCENEDT.EXE at 0007:4104 IIRC, this scenario was made with the HCGold SE. I wonder if the addition of features like Base Sonar Levels for the different platforms may have made this older scenario incompatible with the HCCE SE. You can try to report this problem to AGSI, but they've said quite clearly that they won't accept any problems not detected with their official DB.

Is it possible that there is a corrupted mount/weapon in the database? I just tried both of these examples and they also crashed for me. No idea if the dB has a corrupted entry or not. Sorry.
May 7, 200620 yr Kaman (Late) only causes a crash if you attempt to look at its weapons load. PTM Houdong produces the exact same error if you attempt to view the weapons. Is it possible that there is a corrupted mount/weapon in the database? Yes, i had this trouble with my HC_EURO_DB, might be a coruppted Mount(name) regards René

May 8, 200620 yr Thanks Rene , right on. We successfully married another Eischens this weekend (a 2nd cousin) out of cell phone and easy Internet range, sure was nice!
May 8, 200620 yr Real men play H4 Just joking...is that "trolling"? I am glad that it appears this community soved the issue quickly. Good Gaming,
May 8, 200620 yr LOL, very funny, Pete. I'd respond, and say, real men play Silent Hunter III and Red Orchestra, but of course, I'd be shooting myself in the proverbial foot ...
