I actually have both, does it matter which I run? I HUCE better in some way?

HUCE is the last iteration, community supported and in constant updating, but the relevant executable files are common (Game Engine, Scenario Editor, ...)

HUCE adds the digital military art and the HC20 historical versions of the game. I view the military art as a one-time-use gimmick though the art is pretty. The HC20 is a launcher that exposes 19 old versions + the current game version to you should you be inclined to dig back in history from an early alpha version of the game right up to the present build.

One last tidbit, Matrix may distribute one more official patch, 2015.027. That would only apply to HUCE.

 

In sum, since you have HUCE, best to stick with that but you can disable the digital military art ExportDLL if it annoys you.
