Mis-shaped world in WestPac

Why is the world so "flattened" in WestPac?

If it were only for the aesthetical twist, I would have lived with it, but it seems to apply to game mechanics too - and in a random fashion!

What I mean here is that some range circles are regular circles, and others are elliptical! It looks really funy, when you consider circles related to the same group.

I won't laugh anymore, though, if it will turn out that my missile range is elliptical, while my enemy's is circular, and I won't be able to reach him, while he'll be doing just fine shooting at me!

I'm forever battling the range ellipses, I think you'll find them nice and elliptical in the first patch, except when they are super wide and short, in error.

Is this kind of question a result of the GoogleEarth-era?

Maybe someone shall programm and use GoogleMap for HCE 2009 and GoogleEarth for H5(?) for all graphical window issue. :)
