US ships designation system

Featured Replies

  1. When you say USS Stout, it means nothing to me....
when you say DDG 55 USS Stout, most players [i think so ;)] know what ship it is.

Is it possible to implement the hullnumbers into the shipslist of the next DB version?

I offer help.

See you next year

;)

I've added the hull numbers to almost all vessels of all nations (exept Russia/USSR). But I guess that was in vain since there is a new database out. :(

Or I'll have to add all changes of the new database to my "modded" database.

Here is a link to a russian site [English language]. It contains a list with all active and inactive vessels with their current pennant number. The website also contains lots of information of other elements of the Russian military forces.

Hope it helps.

Pennant numbers changed frequently in the USSR, of course...

Yeah, I am aware of that, I wonder why they do that.......... :D

Well, it's cheaper than building new hulls ... :P

The link shows a list of inactive units as well. Rather huge, don't you think? B)
