December 11, 201015 yr Attained victory with 1:23:45 to go. Lost the patrol ship Mersey early on, but she was caught under enemy air cover at game start and did not have much of a chance. Not long thereafter, lost the Forbin class Chevalier Paul early on to a torpedo from a Scorpene class submarine, which really hurt but I moved the de Gaulle in behind the Prince of Wales group to take advantage of the latter's air defense envelope and this worked out. Rubis managed to close the distance with the Vikramaditya group, and put her torpedoes to good use against the carrier and escorts. Lost a couple of helicopters to air raids out of Gan, but other than a couple of Super Hornets dropped by enemy SAMs (due to my inattention more than anything), no other losses. Fun scenario. Thanks for putting it together!

Thanks for putting it together! If anyone manages to keep onto their Mersey I'll be surprised, a bit mean I know putting her in there but its only a game There is a fair bit of luck as to what planes you get but you seem to have done pretty well, after lots of testing (with a fair bit of cheat mode) I couldn't stick it out to actually complete an unassisted run so you might be the only one to get an honost victory so far, Admiral Brad. "Sacrificial lambs" are a useful scenario writing tool, particularly if you can use them to set a tone or atmosphere of tension, and maybe throw the player off his game or at least erode his confidence. I don't mind being 'mean' in a scenario at all.

I almost drove the Rubis away without shooting because it didn't seem sporting. (Note: Almost.) Finding F-35's next to my AEW asset caused quite a scurry. Mean is what it's about. Bwahahaha.
February 6, 201115 yr Those updated MiG21's are a pain, with JSF's though I am making waste......Good so far. This was a good scenario, it tells me just how valuable the F-35 could be. Some notes: -The lack of Tankers on the carriers is a real barrier. -The Sea Harrier is no more than a Bomb truck. -SAMS are hard to knock out -The Storm Shadow and Scalp are nice, but seem to be easy to shoot down. -The need for a LR Harm is evident. -These updated MiG21's are dangerous -What Happened to Tacit Rainbow? Great Scenario I enjoyed it.
