The BAE Systems Tempest is a proposed sixth-generation fighter aircraft that is under development in the United Kingdom for the Royal Air Force (RAF). The aircraft is intended to enter service from 2035, gradually replacing the Eurofighter Typhoon. It is being developed as part of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme by a consortium known as Team Tempest, which includes the Ministry of Defence, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Leonardo, and MBDA UK. £2 billion is planned to be spent by the British government on the initial phase of the project up to 2025. https://www.defensenews.com/global/europe/2023/02/10/wallace-urges-italy-japan-to-stick-with-just-launch…

The U.S. Navy is set to demonstrate the ability to fire an AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range, or AARGM-ER, from a ground-based launcher this year. The missile's manufacturer, Northrop Grumman, has been pitching surface-launch options for the weapon, and derivatives thereof, for years now. The Navy is also exploring adding the AGM-88G to the already expanding arsenal for the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol plane. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/navy-to-test-ground-launched-version-of-new-radar-busting-missile https://news.northropgrumman.com/news/releases/northrop-grummans-advanced-anti-radiation-guided-missile-extended-rang…

The Hwasong-12 was first revealed to the international community in a military parade on 14 April 2017 celebrating the Day of the Sun which is the birthday anniversary of North Korea's founding President, Kim Il-sung. North Korea tested Hwasong-12 on 30 January 2022. For those who may have been wondering, there should be a new version of the HCDB available within the week. I have been doing the summer/holiday thing lately, as most of the Harpoon community does this time of year, but its time to put out another release. Other than some units we will be needing for the CPX, and some specific units I am interested in adding myself, such as the planned British CVF aircraft carrier, I am open to your requests. As usual.
