Enemy airfields at Reykjavik, Akureyri, and Jan Mayen had already fallen. Friendly losses included: * Project 677 (NATO Lada) class submarine Saint Petersburg, lost while trying to clear datum after closing with the US Navy's George Washington carrier strike group and torpedoing the Bunker Hill class Aegis cruiser Antietam. This is sort of scenario design question, sort of Battleset design question, but as there is no Battleset sub forum I'll bung it here. What do people think of the concept of having the names of major islands, island groups and seas included on HC texture map for a battleset . Here is a sample of the sort of thing I'm thinking of: This is something I did while playing with the HC map to include more of the islands of the south west pacific for my pacific islands battleset. My thought with the name text is to allow reference in orders to seas, oceans and islands, eg patrol the Banda Sea

I am looking for the defences that were set up in the Dardanelles in the Cold war, colorfully enough, the Turks apparently got some 9.4inch guns from the UK, but is there anywhere were I can find what else they had to defend the straits up to Istanbul? Thanks!

After Action Report: Bear Goes South 2 A scenario by jugasa77 This is a pretty short AAR, but I felt I owed the author at least a few comments. Bear Goes South 2 is a new HCE scenario for the EC2003 GIUK battleset. I played the scenario using beta 2009.017 and the HCDB database. This is a fairly large and busy scenario. And challenging. I lost both the HMS Illustrious and the HMS Invincible to brutal SS-N-19 SLCM attacks from Oscar class submarines at short range. So short in fact that I had virtually no opportunity to defend.
