November 9, 200916 yr What is the maximum allowable number of damage points that could be attributed to an installation? My guess is that is is some (2^n)-1 The biggest number that the PE will permit you to input there is 99,999. In most (if not all) other fields in the PE the max permissible is 65,535. I have never had any reason to play with a DP that large so I have no idea if it would the GE/SE would recognise it.

Right on Brad, 65,535 is the max damage points for a platform (including installations). However, I would be extremely cautious using any value over 32,767 DP since it appears a number of the auxilliary functions have that as a cutoff (short instead of unsigned short).
November 13, 200916 yr What is the maximum allowable number of damage points that could be attributed to an installation? My guess is that is is some (2^n)-1 max usefull dp value for a weapon is 999, found this by try and error while creating my mine model long time ago, so maybee something changed until now.... over 999 you´re getting side effects and above 14336 or 18432 the dp value represents a payload for a weapon...
November 13, 200916 yr Author 32767 looks like the max to be attributed to an installation. IIRC higher points get into nuke warhead damge point attributes for a weapon. The 2^15 bit looks like a flag for the nuke effects
