Testing saves, grab a save from 2007.000, 2008.024, or 2008.044. If it opens okay then the feature works. It should help with older defect/issue reports. It also paves the way for changes moving forward.

Confirmed that the warning sound ceases when the alert is cleared.

I took Herman's "BOL range incorrect 2005" file and opened the save in .011.

It opens with a "Saved Game Limited Functionality" window that says "The saved game you are loading is outdated and may result in Unit Window corruption". In this case, the Unit Windows seems to be fine.

Will check more later.

Sounds good guys, Wombat, I haven't seen any Unit window corruption either opening the older saves but it is a possibility so I'll leave the warning there. (yes, the warning message is deliberate)
