January 24, 200917 yr I was designing a scenario and trying to get the sensors on the ships to be active at the start of the scenario. I entered the sensor command at waypoint #0 in the course editor, but when I start up the scenario all the sensors on the home players ships are turned off. Is this normal or did I not do the right procedure to start both sides with sensors active. The base sensors are on only the home ship sensors start in the off position. Thanks, Steve
January 25, 200917 yr Try this: Enter the sensors on/off command from the regular menu instead of through the course editor. If this also does not work let me know and we'll go from there.

January 25, 200917 yr Author The sensors for the OPPFOR now seem to be on although set to something different than I set them. Maybe the AI sets them to its own settings? Also when I play the scenario there are black boxes around the symbols in the formation editor. Do I have something set wrong in the scenario editor to cause this?
January 26, 200917 yr Could you perhaps attach a screenshot to show us what you are seeing? That might clarify matters. Just hit the Alt+PrintScrn button to copy it to your clipboard and then Paste it into a program like Paint.

That would be very helpfull, along with a zip file of the scenario so I can take a look at it in my SE.
January 26, 200917 yr Author I couldn't get the print screen to work, so I will attach the zip of my scenario and you can see if it makes the black boxes in the formation editor when you are playing it.
January 26, 200917 yr Okay, I think I've found the problem. This is how it looks to me when I first start up the scenario and look in the Formation Editor: If I turn on the Textured colour for the Land, it looks like this (with the black boxes): The way to turn it off is to shut your game right down and re-start it after turning off the Texture colour for Land (Ctrl+K)

That fixes the problem. Guess I can't use textured land to create scenarios. Is that common or just a quirk in this scenario that I made? Steve

I've had this situation with all the WestPac scenarios for as long as I can remember. You'll find that if you change the water display to textured or dark, the dark water color forces the black boxes to turn light by contrast, and the unit symbols can be seen through the boxes. This indicates to me that the symbols are always there, but textured land display attaches the boxes to them, for whatever sense that makes to anyone. Or maybe the boxes are normally transparent, but textured land turns them black. Buddha
