In the SE Pic Ids aove 510 (in the PE) lead to a blank Display and a crash when you open the ship with a pic id above 510

 

 

 

 

 

The limit for the GE is somewhere around 700-800, still trying to find the exact number

Don't bother wasting time finding the exact number, I already know it, was looking last night.

The GE limit for PicID is 767

The SE limit for PicID is 511

 

Since Rene found thru trial and error that 510 was the max in the SE, my numbers may be off by one. I'll raise the limits for the next build and we'll see what happens. I assume the existing limit was a quick hack because some of the battlesets must have had errant information.

 

Til then I suppose staying under the limit is the only safe approach, HCDB is over the limit as well, but didn't crash in the SE on the only two planes above 510, just didn't show much information. Since the patch has already flown, probably best to create DBs with the low picIDs for now and mass increase them later.

Addressed in 2008.026, the artificial limit is removed for commondb battlesets, wonder what the next limit will be...
