Weirdness in EC2003 IOPG scenario 5

Featured Replies

Are other folks seeing weirdness in EC2003 IOPG scenario 5 (HDSK5.0) "Those Traveled Roads"?

Specifically, installation place names coming up as not matching their proper names, or otherwise shown as "donotuse" ?

I've seen it in other EC2003 scens that I was looking through for ideas...but I don't remember which ones right now. Anyway, just saying that's not the only one.

EC2003 MEDC is also showing some signs. The installation "Avord", for example, is showing incorrectly as "Avord, Moldova" in HDSJ 9.0 and HDSJ 11.0, but it shows properly as "Avord, France" in HDSJ 8.0.

Even more bizarre, some of the installation names in HDSK 5.0 (Those Traveled Roads), such as 'Maquehue' (ADb), 'Savannah IAP' (ACa) and 'Mansfield Lahm' (ZVb) do not appear in the HCDB at all.

The 2015.001 scenedit 32 does the same thing on EC2003 IOPG #5 and EC2003 MEDC #11 at least.

I don't have any old still working (not expired beta) GEs or I would have tried those.

I would suggest someone try much older HCDB versions (2012 or 2010, that far back) and see if by odd chance it is a database thing or if that at least helps point out the direction.

It doesn't appear that the GE is using the Installations Annex (from HCDB) at all in the EC2003 GIUK battleset. The installation names appear to have spelling errors and such that have been long since fixed in the HCDB.

Time for an Issue Report, I think. <_<
