btw those are the symbols an numbers i found:

I know it has no real purpose/value in the game except some cosmetical eyecharming for the player

 

But think of an nuclear installtion showing the radiation sysmbol or an AD Radar showing a radar symbol or shore batteries shwoing missiles, guns or torpedos as symbol...

 

Don´t know if it brakes anything....

 

And it has not much worth in it, .....

I've always been interested in the nuke areas but never got around to asking anyone who knew, what they might be for. My guess is that they were supposed to be places not to go (irradiated) but there isn't really any code behind them. You should be able to place them in a scenario for cosmetic benefit with the understanding that maybe some day they will do something.

 

Now the reference point unit is one I've had some serious time looking at. That's the one we should be able to use to indicate on station boxes if the scenario designer placed a few reference point groups. Just another thing to do some day (and for showing alternate start points in the SE).
