June 7, 201214 yr Harpoon II arrived today spectacularly packed. I almost felt bad removing it from the acetate envelopes complete with stiff cardstock to keep things from bending. But was I ever glad I broke the seal! Harpoon II looks a lot like Harpoon 3 except I like the organization of Harpoon II better and its greater number of diagrams really impress me. There is a diagram showing a multi-game-turn ship turn instead of having to guess and divine if I move first, turn first, jump around three times,... As for the organization, the rules are categorized by their order in the turn whch I find very helpful. Perhaps more comments once I really have a good read of the rules and annexes (the annexes looking very similar to Harpoon 3).

The only problem I ever had with Harpoon II was that it flat out refused to run under XP or Vista. Works like a champ with DOSBox though. Buddha
