I have noticed something rather odd. When you rebuild a scenario, ship names will not change, and group names will not change, but with facilities, if you changed the name (e.g., Beirut Airport), it will revert back to the original name (e.g., AFAC Airfield VL)

 

Just curious...does anyone know why this happens?

 

Because there are some kinds of buildings that might be used with victory condition targets, etc., and the name change might mess this up if the scenario is rebuilt when a new version of the database comes out, I recommend adding the following "platforms." As most of these are simply potential targets, rendezvous points, etc., I don't think they need to be planned out very elaborately. I would recommend simply copying the data for existing buildings (suggestions included) but adding a new entry with a changed name.

 

BLDG Electrical Substation (use BLDG Small)

 

STRC Refinery (use STRC Factory Complex)

 

STRC Water Treatment Plant (use STRC Factory Complex)

 

BLDG Research Facility (use BLDG Large)

 

BLDG Presidential Palace (use BLDG Royal Palace)

 

STRC Electrical Power Plant (use STRC Factory Complex) <-- "electrical" is used so it can stand in for any kind of power plant (e.g., coal-burning, etc.)

 

GEO Archaeological Site (use BLDG Small) <-- these things are not only precious, but usually pretty fragile

 

BLDG Zoo (use BLDG Marketplace)

 

BLDG Safe House (use BLDG Small)

 

BLDG Stadium (use BLDG Large)

 

BLDG Theater (use BLDG Hotel Lrge)

 

BLDG Museum (use BLDG Hotel Lrge)
