  1. Bill Gunston (Guia ilustrada de misiles aéreos modernos, Madrid, 1983) says that Sky Flash has got an auto-guided warhead. So Sky Flash had SARH guidance until it was near of the target, when it will use its own terminal guided warhead. Is it possible to have "SARH guidance" and "Terminal guidance" flags together in the same weapon?
  2. Example from the message log: 3*AGM-84 Harpoon have been shot down by 3*SA-N-7 Gadfly (FPh=60, Ph=60, DPh=50). What do FPh, Ph and DPh mean?
  3. I have edit CV Kuznetsov with 60 aircraft instead of original 36. If I include it in the scenario, will be there any problem for a player who is using the original database, which has a CV Kuznetsov only with a maximun of 36 aircraft?
  4. I think this is the right place for this information. At the original database, CV Kuznetsov can only wear 36 aircraft. David Miller, "The Illustrated Directory of Warships, London, 2001", says that "the planned capacity of the ship is 58 aircraft". And Chris Chant, "Barcos de Guerra, Alcobendas, 2006", says that it is able to carry between 60 and 70 aircraft. If you are editing your own database, as I do, you can modify this entry. A typical air wing of 60 aircraft could be: 36*Su-33 Flanker. 12*Ka-25 Hormone A, ASW. 6*Ka-25 Hormone B, Search. 6*Ka-31 Helix, AEW. David Miller also says that a 58 aircraft air wing would be composed of 36 Flankers, 16 ASW helos and another 6 helos with other capabilities.
  5. I will be able to restart building the scenario from the beginning and updating it in two weeks. If anybody finds any odd problem at GIUKBSG2.scm, let me know, please.
  6. Well, I have edit almost everything again: ViConds, orders, alternative paths, bases, individual units... The only thing I have kept are groups and positions from the original scenario. I have been playing GIUKBSG2.scm for two hours of game-time and there is no problem yet.
  7. If you rename the scenario (from sc1 to scm) you get the same groups and orders. But there is a problem. Individual units inside the group may not be the same as they were in the original scenario. When I renamed the scenario I got some Tu-95 Bear taking off from Kiev carriers. So you have to edit the individual units again.
  8. Yes, I change suffix from .sc1 to .scm and I had to redesign all the scenario. But I had the same groups with the same orders, so I didn´t do so many work.
  9. As I can´t edit the file because I´m not the submitter, who is CV32, I attach the new file here. [CV32: I've taken the file from your attachment and uploaded it to replace the previous file]. I think the problem was that the ViCond said that they should be 12 carriers instead of 12 ships. I have already change victory conditions.
  10. That´s right. I think you should reach both ANDor ViConds and another one ORed Viconds to get tactical victory. If you sink enough ships you should get tactical/minimum victory.

An improved conversion from "BearGoesSouth.sc1" to "BearGoesSouth2.scm". War has began. This is large engagement between NATO and Russia. Orders: Kill'em all! Be careful, don´t shoot down any swedish aircraft. Russia, USA, UK and Norway forces present.
  13. I have already find the solution to the problem. Thanks. P.D.: I hope "Bear Goes South 2" will be posted. It is an improved conversion from Original-GIUK.sc1 battleset to EC2003-GIUK.scm battleset. I have included your ideas and set start speed. It also has another features more.
  14. When I was trying to set initial speeds at "Enter Group Course" command, "Edit Order" command wasn´t available, although I can set other commands like "Next", "Prev"... So I couldn´t set any order to the group and they haven´t got initial speeds. Can you help me with this trouble?
  15. I thought that all ViConds were ORed, so you need only to reach one of them. But may be I had a mistake. I will include some Bears and Mays ASW. I will review the file and update it at the download section if I can. Perhaps I will be able to add orders file, if OrdersWriter doesn´t found any bad characters this time. I´m glad you like it.
  16. OK, I have recently saw how to indicate database, battleset, author... But this scenario is .sc1, it is for Original GIUK Battleset, not for EC2003.scm.
  17. When I load the scenario the computer says: "Bad characters found in this text file!" I don´t know what this means. P.D.: I have already posted the scenario at the download section.
  18. Here is my first scenario for HCE. We could name it "Bear Goes South", for Original GIUK battleset (sc1). It is a major engagement between NATO and Soviet forces. Objetives are to sunk as many ships and subs as you can, and to destroy enemy land bases. Soviet side can achieve tactical victory with a patrol around Reikjavik (Iceland) or Orland (Norway) for 48 hours. I am sorry that Orders Writer utility didn´t work correctly with this file. P.D.: I am not sure if Attack orders for soviet bases work or if AI delays attacks until it gets air superiority. GIUKBGS.zip
  19. Sorry, but I don´t know how to upload my first scenario. It fails when uploading.
  20. What do you exactly mean? Do you mean information about platforms? According "Bill Gunston, Guía ilustrada de misiles aéreos modernos, Madrid, 1983": Walleye I should have a range of 16 miles and Walleye II should have a range of 35 miles. If you want something like this I can send my own database (commondb.res) when I had finished it. It could take me a long time. Where should I send it?
  21. If HCE-GameEngine works the same than Harpoon 4... Antiship missiles are affected by jammers and decoys, which take off a penalty from weapon Ph. Jammers & Decoys together get the highest penalty, and decoys gets a penalty higher than jammers. Missile Ph is also affected by target´s size, being a larger target more easy to hit.
  22. My question is about HCE. I want to know if Prowler´s jamming pods benefit Intruder´s DATA when they are flying together in the same group.
  23. We have 10 A-6E Intruder and 5 EA-6B Prowler flying in the same group. Would Intruder´s DATA benefit from Prowler´s jamming power? P.D.: See "Basic gameplay questions about Prowlers" topic to get more information.
  24. Hello TonyE. Is it "Aircraft Bombing Tables" and "Stick Hit Table" from "Harpoon 4 - Rulebook (6-12) & (6-13)" modeled at Harpoon Commander´s Edition (HCE)?
  25. Hello noxious. So I guess that ATA is used when dogfighting (trying to get a good position for firing weapons) and when firing cannons to enemy planes.
