May 9, 200916 yr I found this very interesting link while cruising around ConSimWorld. It's an open source analysis of Taiwan's SAM Networks with plenty of maps and other images. I though it might find a home in HG/Weblinks/Sources, but was not able to post it there. Either way, some interesting information. Taiwanese SAM's

May 9, 200916 yr Good read. For those of you more knowing then me-with their new aegis destroyers is there someway to integrate with land systems, namely the more advanced patriots, for a one brain control system? Considering there destroyers would probably stay close to home this would be a great help.

May 11, 200916 yr Maybe I was thinking ahead. I thought that the Bush had finally approved it but I can see from doing a simple google search that it didn't get finalized. But is it even possible to integrate a land system into the aegis?

But is it even possible to integrate a land system into the aegis? Baseline 7 for Aegis (or maybe one of the late phases of Baseline 6) added the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Tactical Ballistic Missile Defense (TBMD) upgrades, so while Aegis has been a naval weapon system, it can draw upon sensor information provided by offboard sources (and there's no reason to think land based radar couldn't be included here). Also, although not directly related to Aegis, there's been talk recently of 'selling' the anti-ballistic missile Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) to the Israelis, who would probably have to employ it in a land based role.
