I just got an original shrink wrapped box with H2 on optical disk, probably CD. It runs only on DOS, so I drug out an old Compaq biz PC, blew the dust off, said a short prayer and fired it up. It's alive! But, running XP, so I installed Windows ME which has a working Virutal DOS mode, and after a bit of tweaking the game runes, but it needs patches, badly.

There is the Admiral's Edition update at https://harpoonpages.com/harpoon2.htm which iirc is the last patch for H2.

I downloaded the FAQ, but I cannot get the very large (lol) 3.5 mb zip file to download or even open a tab.

For the patch, use https://www.harpoonpages.com/ftp/harpoon2/h2update.zip . I inherited the HarpoonPages.com site from Dr. Who and long since lost track of the dreamweaver install that I used to maintain the site. One of these days I'll have an LLM helper re-write the site with me, hopefully without losing the 1990s vibe.

hmm, it is not a dead link. using http your browser probably blocks but the https link works fine here in Edge.

I'm using a chromium browser, I'll try edge. If it doesn't work is there any chance you could stick the file somewhere in harpgamer?

We had a tornado earlier in the week and then yesterday we had another severe storm warning and been losing power off and on so taking a disses taking a lower priority but it's on my list

I did not consider just trying to download it from my phone but when I did it downloaded perfectly and in much less than the hour and a half plus that it would have taken on dial up when it came out lol now I have to get it off my phone and under the computer or onto the flash drive that Eric sent me and I should be good to go weird it on the computer it did absolutely nothing.
