CV32 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 This is both a "Congratulations" moment and an "Oh Dear" one... I invariably find myself in the latter category. The rate of development of Iran's "space" (read: missile) program is matched only by its efforts to produce highly enriched uranium, both of which occur in a generally secretive fashion, often in isolated, well protected, disguised, hardened, underground bunkers. Go figure. I trust Tehran about as far as I can throw a Shahab 3. Quote
eclipse_trb Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I love how they always claim the double standard, yes Japan, Brazil and a few others have working or are working on space programs but they aren't working on building nukes at the same time and have complete transparency. Another important point is most nations don't sponsor terrorist groups and swear to wipe other nations off the map. Anybody know if we got any of the anti satellite missiles still laying around might make a good test target. Quote

eclipse_trb Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Actually I was thinking about this the other day do you think they bother calling up NASA or DOD or at least the Russians and telling them they are going to launch a missile, I mean a rocket with a peaceful payload or does everything just hit the sh*t every time they do something like this. I know during the cold war it was usually common courtesy to tell our friends and foes of missile/rocket launches just so nobody got the wrong idea and did something stupid/fatal/biblical. Also has the F15 ASAT (ASM-135) project totally killed off, did they scrap the missiles? Did they ever come up with another air launched variant? Quote
