1. Since I'm not sure how the program handles sonar detection ranges, I'm not sure if this is feasible or not. A mention of predicted MDR for an area somewhere, perhaps in the weather report for the area, would be helpful in planning ASW baroers , patrols, etc. If, as has been suggested, area airborne ASW patrols and bouy fields are implemented in the future, this information will be even more important.

2. Would like to be able to enter reference points.

3. Would like to see a rolling Lat/Long readout tied to the cursor position.

4. Would like to be able to enter ASW patrol areas fo AC as opposed to the current method of simply entering a point.

It would be nice to be able to place Ref. Pts in a scenario as can be placed in Harpoon III. Points could be used to aid navigation, delineate patrol areas, etc.

It would be helpful to have a Latitude and Longitude readout for the cursor position. This would be useful when placing units in the SE, as well as when laying out proposed Navigational tracks when playing the game.

Doesn't the Lat/Long already appear in the Game Engine when you click on the map? I get a reading along the bottom border when I click on a map.

It doesn't work for the SE, but I've always found it pretty handy just to use the "Move Unit" (Ctrl+P) command. I just click on any unit, hit Ctrl+P and then click on the map and I get the Lat/Long. I can move it around until I get the exact position I want then I hit cancel/Esc to close the command and my cursor is perfectly position to insert a new unit.

It isn't perfect (and the veteran scen designers probably have their own short-cut), but I think that it is a pretty good work-around.

For ASW patrols by AC, would like to be able to enter search areas/patterns, as opposed to the current method of merely selecting a single point. Buoy fields could possibly be specified using a method similar to the one presently used to enter On-Station Areas in ViConds in the SE.
